Best Field Rental Gun

LOL I guess its a bit late to be asking as I have already post a wnated ad for guns, but I need some suggestions on what would be a decent marker for a new paintball field.
A few options we have been looking at are the following
Sypder Xtra
Spyder Victor
Icon Z

If anyone has any betterideas for guns please say so. I have a budget of about 350$ for 10

OUCH!

That's one heck of a miniscule budget....

35$ per marker sure ain't going to get much.

Im with MrHooie-we have the Piranah Field Markers, there great! You cant go wrong with a tippmann 98, and dont get any of the guns listed unless you want to rebuild them every week, and no Im not kidding.

I was planning on getting used guns anyways. I want to go with tippmann 98s but thats going to run at like 100$ per gun for used ones. We are not a HUGE field just a local thing for the local kids, maybe 15-20. I didnt wnat to go with something that would break every single time as most of those sypders and such would, but i didnt know what else to do

Tippmanns are probably the best. They're very durable, mostly easy to fix and maintain, and are noobie-friendly.

They also make the new players feel cooler, they think it's more "realistic".

Take the Spyder Xtra, the most value field rental gun you can get! Stay away from Pirahna and Icon, they are ****. Dont use the victors, they break in the grip. Dont use Tippmans, they are too expensive.

Pro-carbines are not pumps, and they are VERY durable.

One time, I saw someone parting out 20 tippmann 98s for $20 apiece. Try looking for sales or liquidation kinda thing like that..

Although I don't own a field, I used to have a few guns laying around here that I would let my friends (who don't own any paintball stuff) use.
I have found the Spyder Victor's are pretty reliable, and cheap.

I know you're going for cheap, but you ABSOLUTELY have to look at TCO.

Buy bad markers used for cheap and it might not be long before they cost you more than 100$ each.

Time spent servicing markers isn't free either. It might not cost money in wages out of pocket if you do it yourself, but it will cost you time which is far more valuable.

all i can say is, if you dont get tippmanns, you will regret it.

beginners dont know much about paintball, and very few have a lot of respect for rental gear. tippmanns can take a lot of abuse and still work fine, and they are very easy to mantain.

point being, get tippmanns

Big Tippmann fan here. We've got about forty in our rental fleet. Every once and a while, Tippmann will sell factory reconditioned 98Cs for under a hundred bucks. They still have the full warranty although you rarely need it. We've got that price just buying one or two at a time. You can probably do better with buying in quantity.

I'd steer clear of the carbines. I am pretty sure that Tippmann is discontinuing production of those if they haven't already. This may pose a problem a few years down the road when you are looking for replacement parts.

i heard of someone who was using ule automags with lv.10 bolts in them.

they said it saved money because of the durability and because they could taken apart so easily. that is a big inital investment but it should work out to be cheaper in the end.

ive seen the feedneck of a 98c broken off of the gun from being set down to raise a flag.(not sure of the whole story there cause i was down a little farther.) and i belive the only way to fix that is to replace the body.
