Holding down bunkers?

Hello, my friend is making a field in his yard so we can pratice and scrimage. The problem is that his pipes are only a few inches under the ground. So we can't use stakes. Because of this dilema (SP?), we need to use sandbags! I've googled and googled and havent found a really good place to buy the right weight, sized bags for a field. I thought posting here that maybe a few indoor owners could help me out, considering they use some sort of bag system to hold down thiere bunkers. If you could give me a link, company name, sizes/weights it would be deeply apreciated.

have you tried putting water inside your bunkers?

Put about 4-5 inches of water in the bottoms, with about a ahlf cup of bleach to avoid stagnation.

No, we cant use water. Because it a backyard field we need to deflate teh bunkers every night. Water sitting there (In a backyard) also causes mosquitos(sp?). Thanks for the ideas tho. Still looking for mini sandbags of some sort.

You can get sandbags at any industrial supply place, sand at just about any garden supply. You can use regular sandbags, just fill them to the size you need. Then you can fold them through the loops on your airball bunkers, no need to use any kind of hook or tie to keep them attached. Works great on our indoor field.

well get pvc pipes..and there 2 ways to do it, eather get concrete or sand. get the plug and fill them up and plug them ...so u don't have to worry bout tripping of that **** or anything .. if u wanna use sand u have to use bigger pvc pipes tho. the concrete works really good, then just put the pvc through the loops of the bunkers
