Question My tank is leaking!!

Well i just bought a new 20oz tank at pbgear. I was going to play at this one camp with my friends, but we got in trouble and couldnt play. So now i am going to play at my friends place, he told me to drain all the co2, because we lost some fixing the guns (leaking) so i drained a 12oz and another 20oz. While i was finish up the last 20oz i think something happend to my Spyder fenix. I put it in full auto then the gun was getting cold so i didnt want it to freeze and took the tank off. When i was putting my tank in my room i hear a hissing sound, it was coming from that 20oz tank. It is a small leak i can't feel the air, but i can hear it. I remember when i was filling up my friends 16oz the button for the co2 to go in and out frozed and the guy got real mad because he said i should have told him earlier or him or his workers would've been killed or injured. He put it in the corner, he asked if i wanted it. I was scared so i sad no. He said if i did want it i canot touch the top or cover it or do anything to it but keep it up, if i did cover it i would die. So back to the 20oz, what should i do? can i still fill it? and does stores ex(sportmart) fill like half used co2 tanks? Anything else i need to know about co2 please let me know.
Thanks

Oh yeah my friend has a 12oz and he is goanna let me borow it. He said he bought it a year or more ago and left it in his room for a year or so. Is it still good to fill?

Oh yeah by the way is there a faster way of draining co2?

wow, that's an awful lot of detail that doesn't matter.

ok, let's begin

1 the hissing sound. spray it with soapy water. and find out where it's leaking, if it's the pin valve on top, than try "popping" it. to do that, take a screwdriver handle, and press the pin in with the tank held very firmly. it may be a piece of dirt or debris in there. if that doesn't work, it needs service.
2 The guy who filled your friends tank way overreacted. it's a small leak becuase of an oring most likely, it isn't going to blow apart because of it. just leak out all the air. if he was really worried, he wouldn't just put it in a corner.
3 you don't have to empty a tank to get it filled, or to store it. just keep it out of the heat, and your fine. to drain a full tank is boarderline idiocy(sp?) Whoever said to drain the tank doesn't know CO2. In order to fill it, there must be some inside the tank already to let out to cool the tank. so a store will be happier to see some left in it, that means they don't have to fill it a little, than bleed it, than refill it.
4 it may or may not be good, depends on where he bought it and when it was made.

some things to know about CO2:

never work on the tank yourself.
it will freeze your gun if you fire fast
you don't have to drain a tank to store it, if it's going to be a long time, you may want to so the burst disc wont blow, but you don't have to.
the pressure changes with outside temp. the colder outside, the less pressure, that's why it doesn't work well in winter, and why you tend to shoot hot shots in summer
