Conquest mounting problem

I recently purchased a conquest tank and I love the performance of the tank.

It has no shootdown, great consistency, but i am having a problem with the rail mount.

I am using the stock rail that came with it and it does not want to fit very tight. I have the rail set so the setscrew is at the front of the rail and not the back, anyone who has the tank knows what i mean.

Well, it does not want to fit tight. It has a slight up and down wobble that is slightly annoying because it makes a bit of noise and i dont like the feeling that the tank is loose. I put a few strips of electrical tape on the rail which didnt help much.

Also, the only way to tighten the setscrew to where the tank is nice and tight causes the setscrew to mark up the rail on the tank pretty badly, Is this normal?

I am thinking of getting a new drop for the tank and am looking at the sto drop from worrgames, does it come with the hardware to mount it? How tight does the drop fit in the rail?

All help will be greatly appreciated.

Tighten the screw further and it'll hold it in place. Yes the setscrew will mark up the conquest, that happens, no big deal, it isn't going to eat through it or anything

Suggestion for a dropforward:

Shocktechs and Eclipses. They both come with long/short versions to cater to your needs.

Talking I had the same problem.

Replacing the setscrew with a dropforward screw. The wider tip seems to hold the reg better. The drop screws is also easier tighten and loosen.
