I can't guarentee that it won't chip, but yes, it does help. And you have to be kind of careful with your mask nontheless.
Just don't be too rough with the masks and they should be fine. None of my masks have chipped.

Painting proto masks are indcredibly easy. You don't even have to worry about the foam or anything.

Plus, painted+cut proto masks are the ****.

A big reason for paint chipping off or peeling off would be the surface the paint is being applied to. A good way to do this is to use 99% alcohol and just wipe the surface down with it. This will take off any dust/dirt/oil and will evaporate away and leave a clean surface. The paint will stick much better and your paint will run a lower risk of chipping/peeling.

Well i just completely ruined a perfectly good proflex. God damnit. Im not gonna paint a new mask i buy lol.

The nose piece looks amazing, but i tried to paint my frame and it looks like **** after i put the lense back in. Im trying to scrape off all the paint and ill just leave it red.
Does anybody know if laquer thinner will eat away at the rubber of the frame?

did you spray a couple coats of plastic primer over the colored coat? that should have stopped that from happening... or you can just scrape it off, and do it again. but this time, leave the lense in the frame, and put painter tape over it. that way, you wotn have to gamble on wheter if the paitn is going to chip off or not.

I scraped it off..im just gonna leave it red. It took soo long to get rid of the white paint that didnt chip off the frame. And i kinda melted some of the rubber with laquer thinner. Dont wanna risk doing that again.

Painting frames is really hard, but it can be done without chipping during the lense install, if you look at the above pics you can see a frame I painted and then installed the lense in....

Like coats of Krylon Fusion, given plenty of time to dry inbetween, its the "soft" paint that cheips, soft is when an under layer of paint wasn't fully dry. But its still very hard, and it eventually chips alittle.

Is it possible to paint the frames on invisions?(does the paint stick?) And can you paint the goggle part also? Oh, and im thinking you shouldnt paint over your paint with a primer coat, primer is usually white and dull(its built for other paint to stick to good) A Clear coat i think is what you need to cover the normal paint with. It makes it look Shiny and makes it stronger because of the added paint. Correct me if im wrong.

I think that stuff wont work too good... You need to spray paint them, paint brushing them probably wont look too hot. Maybe you could air-brush that stuff on?

Believe me. Flexipaint or Liquid Letters work perfect!

Paint Brushing it results in a nice semi-matte finish. Not as glossy as spraypainted.

Wont chip ever, even a back block hit doesnt leave a scratch.
