Adj. Ram Cap
I've run a search and can only find things asking if an Adj. ram cap will work, which I know it will. My question however is, with the defiant is it necassary to have an adj. ram cap. With timmis the ram can be out of alignment and i know how to set it up but on the defiant i know it has like a different ram sleeve type thing(i cant really explain it, the black cover on the ram which is the ram sleeve) I want to know if the adjustible ram cap is still necassary and if i dont have it will it be possible for the ram to be misaligned causing eye and chopping problems.

A defiant is not a timmy its an icd gun anywyays if you have an adjustable ram cap it lets you adjust where the ram is which in trun sets the bolt up if its to far back you get roll back and you can have a ball drop partially into the stack to far forward and you are going to dry fire since a ball cccant drop and will proabbly chop. so basically it adjust the ram\bolt.

The D2 and the original Defiant is/are made by Bob Long.
Your right on the ram cap part though.

I honestly cant imagine how it would increase efficiency, i think tis just BS, the only semi-reasonable explanation i can come up with is that it doesnt make the ram go as far back and forth so it saves air...? I really cant imagine it helping with efficiency, and if it did it would only be by a very little bit.

^Lets get back to the question....I have read that is affects efficiency on the actual product descriptions. However, I do not believe that it is a significant amount, my random guess would be 30 balls

the effiency factor doesent merrit buying it though you may see slight differences, buy it to simply have the ram and bolt in the right position.

Ram caps DO NOT increase effeciency. They keep you from chopping if you are running a halo or empire reloader. With the ram/bolt setup if the bolt is not far enough forward, a halo/empire will push another ball 1/4 of the way into the chamber (because of the rollback) and you will have chop city.
Haven't any of you owned a timmy?
Next can you use a timmy adj. ram cap or are their special ones?

the ramcap will help you alot. Different loaders will require different positions of the bolt. For example a Revvy since its gravity fed will need the bolt to be back a little more so the ball can just fall right in. On the other hand a Halo B will be able to stuff a ball into the breech with less room becuase its force fed. And plus the Hybrid and other caps look cool.
