We were constantly working on them. In cold weather, forget it. We rent the Model 98 now and don't regret it one bit. I've had some in service for 3-4 years now, and I'm just now having to replace the sear. Keep them fairly clean and oiled and they work.
Sure, I agree that the first line of 2000's had their issues as we where there with you and a lot has changed now. It's hard to argue with the data we collected during our study and tests and believe me, I've been at this since 1988. I can see where the “sales pitch” ideals might seem to have appeared but I’m a firm believer in making your own choices based on the best information. Same way I treat my customers buy giving them the info and letting them decide.
