high/low pressure

I can't be sure.....but I bet the piston just changes the upper pressure rating of the reg, in other words the point at which the reg will just start to blow off air. Either that or the piston size is changed to simulate more or less spring pressure, and therefore more or less travel to increase or decrease the upper and lower pressure output of the reg.
I wouldn't worry about it.....if it's working you're good to go. I think they all come standard as low pressure, unless you specify that you want otherwise. Don't quote me on that though....

Talking mmmkay....

well, i was just wondering. The Marker works fine but my input pressure is around 250/275 shooting 285,270,280Fps. I hear a lot of people who also own Matrices and their input pressure is something like 200 or below and shooting 300 consistantly. So im trying to figure out where I went wrong and how to fix it. The Marker shoots absolutly FAbu dont get me wrong but id like to operate at the specified range it was set for. Granted this is all just curious tinkering the only thing I have to worry about is blowing O-rings and since the REg will only go to 500 i doubt ill fek up my Solinoid.....*knocks on wood*

yea...your gun should not be shooting 285fps @ 275psi going INTO your gun. You may want to change your dip switch settings to a different setting as well as changing all the orings in your gun. Aslo make sure that your trinity is set correctly as well. Something is definately wrong here...if you have a stock bolt kit, you should be able to shoot about 285fps @ 175psi. If you have a bolt kit, it may be a little bit higher. I would check all these things!
