My DXM Trip

DXM is the cough suppressant in robotussin that make you trip. Basically you're drinking the robotussin just for the DXM.

A couple days ago I experienced my first DXM(robotussin) trip. I am not the heavy drug user, I usually just stick to smoking pot and eating the occasional mushroom. But this was nothing like pot or mushrooms. It was amazing, it started with me and a friend going to a local supermarket to steal some robotussin extra strength cough. We got that and met up with another friend who we took to rite-aid to get another bottle of robotussin. We then headed off to the nearest dollar store to pick up some ginger-ale and crackers to help settle our stomachs. ( if you dont know alot about dxm you start to feel very nauseus about 30 minutes after you drink it) We then head to the dollar store parking lot with our robotussin crackers and ginger-ale on the count of three we all hold our noses and chug the 4oz bottle of robotussin. We drank the robotussin at 6:30 pm.

Now I know 4oz may not seem like alot but its very thick and tastes HORRIBLE. We all finish our robotussin no problem then we just sit around and talk for a while. And make a phone call to an experienced DXM user to come trip sit for us. We get up and walk around for a bit and around 7:15 I start feeling the effects of the oncoming trip (nauseus, dizzy) around 7:50 the DXM hits me like a truck. We were all sitting in the back of this ice cream place in my town and i stand up to walk a bit and it just feels amazing I never felt so good in my life. I was robo-waling my legs off (a robo walk is the walk most people do when they drink robotussin) My arms were swinging and I was picking up my knee's and walking at a slant. It felt like i had 8 elbows in each of my arms and 8 knees in each leg. We walked for about an hour just walking around and talking. We went back to the ice cream place and I only really wanted to be around the people who also drank the robotussin and my close friends.

It was about 9:00 and I was still tripping hard, we sat for a good amount of time and all of a sudden I had to puke i puked everything in my stomach ginger-ale robotussin and the crackers. This brought the trip into full effect for about 20 minutes I felt disconnected from my body even though my friends were right next to me it sounded and felt like they were 100 feet away. I felt like I was dead and looking at myself and my friends from a birds eye view. This really made me think about death and if this was what it was like to die. And for the rest of the trip I could not stop thinking about what I was gonna do with my life and just thinking about the future. I felt so close to my friends who were there. It really is a bonding experience so if you plan on doing DXM only do it with people who you are friends with. And make sure you dont hang out with people who will try to mess with you while you are tripping. Anyway, I got home around 1 am took a shower and just hung out till around 3 am when I felt tired enough to sleep (DXM is a long trip 8-12 hours) . I woke up the next morning feeling very sluggish and I had an upset stomach. Nothing too major.

Well there is my DXM write up for you I doubt many of you will read it all. All in all it was really good and made me think alot about life, me and my friends really got close during the trip(in a non-homosexual way).
If you plan on doing DXM make sure you read up either in books or on the web, if you get the wrong kind or the wrong brand you could really hurt yourself.

lol yeah, DXM is a little rougher on the brain than most other drugs, but 95% of users don't trip often enough to do anything major/noticable

it probably does sound like BS, and that's understandable, but the nature of dextromethorphan hybromide is such that you begin to feel EXTREMELY emphatic towards others.

this is true, if you take DXM in its pure form for an extended amount of time you can really damage your brain. If you drink Robotussin for an extended amount of time you can cause serious damage to you liver and kidneys.

i USED to be friends with a guy who makes dxm in the pwoder form. the trip is 10x better than drinking cough stuff. this kid also had a od on it. its bad stuff. i woudlnt go there.
