I heard the isis got sold....I also saw the patents for a Smart Parts gun that were recently stumbled upon.....

what is up lately with everycompany patening everything they write down and then, there like hey yes lets not produce it i have a way better idea we'll sell it to someone, but then no one buys their idea so its never released....... sorry just kinda venting frustration about every sweet product thats suppose to come out and then something stupid happens. you know

It's not the same gun. There's been a lot of talk about it.

They have NO AFFILIATION, and did not buy any plans to create the Quest.

The Quest could easily be the Isis, and FEP could of got the NDA and say its thier original design. I still think they look way to similiar and the timing was to coincedental, but we'll never know till that NDA expires, and by then everybody probably will have forgot all about this.

Anyway, yeah, I agree that it looks goddam identical to the Isis.

I think it's more probable for them to have made it into one, but they keep saying so adamantly that they didn't...

Oh well... Maybe we'll never know.

Definately think the Quest is the Isis. Which kinda sucks as the Isis was supposed to be around 6-700 bucks if I remember correctly.

Anyways really wish PL kept us in the loop a little more.

there is no affiliation with the quest and the isis. Neil or someone from FEP said that it had nothing to do with the isis.

Which blows my mind. The similarities are way to close to be just mere coincidence, I mean, just look at the pictures/milling!

I dunno, looks way too similar to just be coincidence. I wouldn't be surprised if Powerlyte sold the design to FEP and they are claiming it as their own due to an NDA as has been speculated. Either way, the Quest looks like a great gun. Who knows, mayble I'll buy one after I build a pneumag.

I do wish PL had kept us in the loop a bit more as well.

I'm sure Bud Orr says the same thing about the Autococker and Palmer's guns. The NDA would be the perfect way to claim the Isis as thier own. What do you think it would do to thier image if they said they just bought somebody else's gun design and milled it enough to make it look differnt? Especially the Isis design, which everybody became skeptic of due to the delays and the eventual lack of release. Plus, your going to tell me a bunch of players came up with a new gun design just like that, and designed the prototype themselves?

Yeah I think the Quest is the new Isis. I actually did not even know of the existence of this Isis gun until I stumbled into this thread like 5 mins ago. but I have personally seen and held Quests and the second I saw a pic if this isis and that it is spool just like Quest. Wow that thing is a quest was the very first uncontrolled thought that popped up into my head.
