Palmers Regs
has anyone used one on these on their matrix?
I'm looking to replace the Beehive reg I've currently got on mine.
If this would work, could I use one of the "Direct" ones or should I still get an ASA for my Matrix and use a male Stab? get one on the new LP set up?

I am sure they work fine but might I suggest a Sidewinder? I have had expersince with this reg with EXCELLENT results.

Sidewinder is on my list too. How well do they hand'e preset tanks.
part of the reason I was considering the palmers is because I can get a "Direct" version and not have to spend extra money on an ASA adaptor.

They handle presets fine. I see a lot of gun setups with just that...presets with 'winders. 'Winders are the best regs out right now in my opinion.

too bad they weren't a little more "cosmetically" appealing. :-)
it's a close race right now between the Palmers and Sidewinder.

bob long torpedo reg is good too.. same performance as the sidewinder in my experience.. just stay away from the gladiator and their creeping problems.

Actually there's a couple guys here who've tried the torpedo on the trix.. wasn't enough flow.
One guys said he could hear the air screaming through it trying to catch up.

regs
Stick to the CF, beehive, maxflo(inline or normal), sidewinder or gladiator. The sidewinder I got works very well......and wasn't too expensive either. I'm happy with it.

you should choose performance over looks, bud. Go with the Sidewinder. Nothing beats it.

i have the stabilizer set up on my gun right now. it works fine but the screw is turned out a lot. . but they got LP kits for the stab's now so if you were to get one might i suggest you complement it with the kit. i'm getting a torpedo reg in the near future, i'll let you know how it turns out.

Thanks, but I'm well aware of that. :-)
I'm thinking the Sidewinder may be winning out.

Stabilizers were put on the prototype matrices. They took them off because after time the regs spazzed out after all the mad LP recharging. So they put on the beehives, which perform quite well. Then the centerflags, even better. I wouldn't put a stabilizer on mine. If they were the best reg to put on, why aren't they still on from the prototype? They didn't even make it to a production model. Don't get me wrong, I love stabilizers, but not on LP guns.
That's where the AKALMP sidewinder is king.

the sidewinders are mad ugly and the centerflag regs spike like a mofo. i just got the torpedo reg, which is supposed to have a lot of ocean flow. we'll see how well it works.
