The ability to sell stock at MAP or Razor thin profit margins, ability to move massive ammounts of stock, or the ability to specialize in somthing that not alot of people have. Your going to need lots of money to buy stock, a good server or a good service to host your site, a good supplier, a good shipping contract and nerves of steel. Along with a dash of luck.

GDX, goodluck with your online store. The markets VERY saturated.

PSU, u seem to be one of the most helpful people in this forum along with twistedpbmom & the prizm guy yet I dont see a link to your store & or field in your sig. Do you own or one or are you a previous owner? Surely you're one of the two or you have really done your homework. If its an online store that you know pm me a link I'd like to support your business if you have one.

You can definitely succeed going online.

First, focus on a tight, specific market. Don't attempt to sell everything to everyone! Hoppers only? Maybe Tippmann?

Second, find a unique but short domain name. Dump the "pb" or "paintball" moniker. TopGeek.com is a great name. People remember it and can spell it.

Third, focus on providing unique information on your products. Selling only gear bags? Provide photos of every bag pocket, inside and out. Show them full and empty.

Fourth, make a 18 month plan. Advertising will cost you thousands, but you'll need it. Google AdWords, PBN banners, and word-of-mouth are key.
