PPS price blues
hey
i find that the most annoying thing i've ever had to deal with is this: i want a nice blazer, i dont have $800. im just a 14 year old kid with no job and a 20 buck allowance. how in the world am i gonna get that blazer!?!?! i dont wanna wait till im 16 and dont have a job b/c by then a new Palmer's will be out i bet. i could try to find a nicely priced super-stocker to quell my Palmer's desire for a little while...i've never owned a PPS gun before but they look and sound so darned perfect! i've never held one either...so sad. im just wonderin if anyone has money making ideas or just something to tell me bout a palmers gun. i feel so lonely haha all i have is a crappy spyder! but ne ways i like pump guns so i may get a VSC phantom just to slow my cravings for a Blazer. im getting $200 pretty soon(by august) and i could get another $200 at Christmas and by that time i'd have $120 from my allowance...but what a long wait! so heres the stuff i want on my Blazer, 12 barrel(w/ muzzle brake), male stabilizer, remote hose, .45 frame(or pro touch, which is cheaper?), and a sight hood. i want all that t be all shiny...im wonderin if nickeled would be enough or tiger striped nickle? which is more expensive and does anyone hve a pic of a tiger striped one?
owee my hands hurt...so does my head. back to my poor poor mundane non-palmers exestance now...

join the crowd bra,
i had the same problem you were in a few months ago.
i needed 600 bucks for my blazer and i had about 5.
but, after talking to a few neighbors i got a few weekly mowing jobs and now i have about 400 dollars.
so, just hang tight and eventually you'll find someplace to make a few extra bucks.

I hear yer pain man. This is what you do buy what you can afford. The stock gun is $400 and can be run off Co2. Get the stock gun and upgrade it as you can. It will be well worth it. This is what I did and I'm so glad I did. Get the stock gun, the stock bbl is wonderful even with out porting. Next get the 45 frame, and take it from there getting upgrades as you can. If you can't afford the 45 frame get a Lapco Barrel. The best upgrades for this gun are the 45 frame and a regulator.
If you don't have the money to afford a Blazer get a gun you can afford. It is better to play paintball than not to play at all. Get a pump if you need to conserve paint. Do what you can to play keep the fire alive.

No need to get in a big hurry. When you order a Blazer it is a 6 to 8 week wait before it is ready to ship. I hope to see mine before the end of this month. I am gunless and in need of a fix bad.

There's a Blazer in the Semi FS forum too...shouldn't be too hard to find - it's stickied at top.

hey man.
the thing about buying a Bushmaster, Cocker, Impulse etc...
is that you'll need to upgrade it. To get even close to the accuracy of that PPS barrel you'll need a Freak... Bushy= 450 + Freak= $650
I have prices works out for tricked blazers for less than than.
here's an Example.....
Blazer.----- 400
single .45 frame---- 65
Matched barrel---- 20 (right?)
Spiral Porting---- 39
Vertical Stabe w/BL---125
all of that is $649. and it has a better regulator. and you save a buck
also. You should feel pretty lucky with a 20 dollar allowance. Mine was 5. And it stopped when I was 13. I got a decent job watering plants and mulching and stuff. But you can easily get a job bagging grocerys somewhere. Ask if your field needs any part time refs. that will be a little income, and maybe a discount here and there.....
ASK FOR CASH FOR YOUR BIRTHDAY...... DON'T SPEND ANY MONEY YOUR RELATIVES SEND YOU.
I'll be 16 in 23 days.... and I have had no trouble saving money for any paintball gear I've ever wanted.

As a contract engineer it takes me two days to make $800. Maybe I should invest in a Palmer and ditch my SPyder and my soon to get here Sniper II? They do look pretty. For $800 I'd rather add to my collection of Sig-Sauers. Maybe I'll pick up a used one. muaaahaahahaahaha!!!
When I stopped playing paintball the first time back in the early 90's ('93 to be exact) my lifelong dream was to own a Budd Orr Sniper II. 9 years and a college degree later I'm finally getting my Budd Orr Sniper. Jawohl!
