Ion Gurus. Need some help.

I need some help figuring out whats wrong w/ meh ion. All settings are stock and its running at 180 psi. When I go to shoot it makes a pfft sound. Like theres not enough air to feed it and sometimes 2paintballs will shoot out. I have to pull the trigger 5 times and then it seems to have a build up of air and it will shoot. The paint to barrel match isn't bad cause I can easily blow paint throw the barrel. I know my air tank is screwed in all the way and I always break the gun down and lube it up after every game. I haven't tryed a new battery so thats always a possibility. And there is no leaks. Any ideas?

Well the first thing i would do is check your battery and see if thats it, if not does your tank have enough pressure in it to shoot? It could possibly be your board to so if everything else does'nt help i would bring it to a shop and have them take a look at it, or call SP and talk w/ a tech! Thats all i really can suggest!

Ya it was a full tank of air 3000psi so I know thats not it. And I don't have any air in my tank now, otherwise I'd see if it is the battery thats doing it. As far as oil being in the solenoid(spl?) don't see how thats possible. I only use shocker lube and have never done anything stupid like drop some oil in my asa and shoot it. And lubing it up has nnothing to do w/ it cause I completely tear it down and relube it after a day of playing.
Thanks for all the replys.

you know, DOW 33 is a good lube. its not bad that you lube it after each day, but that might be overkill. i usually do mine every 2 -3 cases. just a thought

and im at ~50 cases, and not a single problem

if you have oil in your solenoid, you can shoot it out, it just takes like a tank of air, another problem ive seen, your dwell might need turned up, my friends stock ion did the same and the dwell fixed it, before messing with dwell check your battery

Changing the batt didn't do a thing for me. I'm thinking either a clogged solenoid or my dwell is messed which makes no sense because I never touched it but I guess I'll mess with it.

Dont, leave it at the Top Setting. Screw the Tank all the way in. Check if any of your internal hoses are Cut or have Pinched. Lube the Bolt, its probably sticking a bit. Wipe all lube off and lube it up good, but make sure your lube isnt to thick, add some oil to it to make it thinner. Clean the Reg. Make sure all the banjo fittings are tight. Look in the asa where the reg goes and see it the is something clogged up there. DONT TOUCH your solenoid or Board Until youve looked at every other possible Problem. Then still i would suggest to send it SP or your local shop. Do what i said about the lubing the bolt, it might be bolt stick. Fire and see how fast your gauge jumps back up to 180psi. aim me at cowtipp3r213 for more help.

THat's what happen to me when my dwell was too low.
Try raising it up. (IIFFFFFFF that's the case)
