http://www.techtpaintball.com/ion%20page.html

I bet 50% of people in here could tell you this for free. Hell, I already have. That'd be kind of cool to have vid showing some stuff on the Ion though, maybe I will.

That DVD can take you step by step with videos with much more description than a text based forum can provide.

I don't see how thats 'just a way to make money'.

Well seeing that the ion is a very easy gun to maintain I dont think it would be necessary to buy that.

Sure it can be more detailed, but still it's just a way for them to make money of people. They're coming with a new one showing what to upgrade on your gun, that's why i think it's pointless. If i was going to do it, i wouldnt try and sell it for 20 bucks, id just post it on PBN. Some stuff I will do to sell, but show people how to clean and lube their gun and what to upgrade; Ill do that for free.

they have a whole line of these, if you have to buy a video to learn how to fix your gun, you dont deserve to use your gun...

ummmm...i have two ions...and they are built kinda cheap...dont kid yourselves...they were 275 bucks. there are better built guns, but not for 275 dollars. I agree a majority of ion owners are noobs and this video could be a great tool to help them stop asking the same question over and over on the nation. the slander around here is incredible.

Cool

Welcome to capitalism.
Just joking, but seriously every paintball company is trying to sell you something and alot of the companies try and sell players stuff they dont need.
This video could be a good thing if its done well, if its done well the number of problem threads in here may decrease. But if its done badly there could be alot more problem threads here.

To be honest I can't see something like this selling all that well, you have to think of the resources that are available already, the manual, the internet and Smart Parts tech's. The gun itself is so simple and takes 30 mins to strip down, lub and reassemble that alot of people simply wont find the need to watch a video.

i give the award to dye for releasing the dye dmc and pricing it at $1699 because its made of "composite" = hard plastic, instead of milled aluminum like the dm5, and the same kids who make fun of plastic guns had there parents shell out $1699 for a plastic gun, dye gets the award =) now thats marketing!

We could probably host the video on PbN and sticky it, and it would do no good... LOL... If the NOOBs weren't so noobish, we wouldn never have coined the term...

LOL, I actually saw this and put it in my watchlist last night on ebay...

I like the part that says "What NOT to grease".

On my last count, isn't it only like 2 orings in the entire marker. Well actually, one is in the reg (which most swap for a new one anyway) and I think the only other thing to NOT grease in the noid.

Correct me if I am wrong.

Plus, as was said, between pbnation, kamsword and the other resource (which shows lub instructions) what else would one need.

i dont know, personally its a good idea. yea because of the price the Ion is a newb gun. and with what? ~30k of them out htere, thats why we're getting so many of these posts. yea its annoying, but its building the sport up with a flood of new people who can afford to have a nice gun now. is it overwhelming for them? hell yea it is, so if this DvD helps them figure it out....hey more power to the people who made it.

maybe we're jsut a little jealous we didnt think of marketing something like this first. yea, they're gonna make a killing
