Question rechargable batteries

Does anyone here use any rechargable nimh batts in their guns. I know the output on some of those batteries are kinda high. Can the matrix board regulate it?

First, there is no real advantage to using rechargables, none of
them will last as long as an energizer e2

but yes the board will handle it (assuming we are talking the 9.6V Plainview's here)
there are two differant voltage paths on the board, one, through a voltage regulator to the
electronics and the second through a transistor to the solinoid.

Anyone else thinking about powering a matrix with their HALO
batteries? pointless in truth but one less 9V to buy.

hey sigg.. dont take this the wrong way.. but when you say "First, there is no real advantage to using rechargables, none of them will last as long as an energizer e2 "

well i disagree.. the only advantage i can see with rechargable batteries is that you make a one time capital expenditure on the batteries and charger..thats it.. so you dont have to spend 5 bucks everytime to get a pair of 9volts...so in the long run it will probably take like 12 packs of batteries to = the cost of the charger and nimh batteries..

the second advantage.. and this is probably the biggest advantage in my opinion.. have you thought of the environmental consequesnces of disposable batteries.. sure they may not be a problem right now in landfills, etc.. but look at the problems disposable diapers have caused (i.e. way more refuse to dispose of in a lnadfill) and besides how many times have you seen dead 9 volts lying on the ground at the field... littering is not cool... and besides you should remember the slogan "pack out what you pack in" when you goto facilities with limited trash cans...

DF from that perspective you are absolutley right.
I was taking the short-term view an e2 has 595 mAh cap.
the Plainview have 170 mAh. but of course you can recharge
the Plainview several times.

just a little tip guys i know some matrices only like a certain battery mine will only use duracell batteries, now my matrix is and older one 350 to be exact so it may only be with the older styles. so if you try a new battery diff then what u had in ur gun an it doesnt shoot that may be the reason why.

Cool

I use rechargeable batteries and they work really nice they are really really expensive ones 75$ a piece and they have like some kind of regulator on them to control how much power goes in and will let less power go through in its not being used and they are 9v and they are blue and say HEALTHSOUTH cause my mom is a physical therapist and she gets a **** load of batteries for those electriod things to stimulate yor muscles, so my rechargeable batteries are good and they look cool and they are expensive and you cant afford them and if you could afford them you couldnt get them cause you gotta be a physical therapist and you probly are not. So rechargeable batteries are good even if you get cheapy one (i know) cause i barely got these 75$ a piece batteries a week ago and i used some other i think energizer and they worked good.

Bye bye i win and so do my rechargeable batteries , oh if you want a pic of them ill be glad to e-mail you a few pics. rayinsurance@aol.com or flatlinerrr@aol.com
