I just found this out, maybe you guys already know. The Bob Long Defiant is Air Ram Operation. That is just like the Wrath. I found this under the description of the Defiant on a few websites. One is Sakworldpaintball.com

Not just like the Wrath. The wrath is SPRING-RETURNED, the Defiant II is AIR-RETURNED.

It says Air Ram, so I just got confused. Most of them will say EP.

Well, the barrel will. And the regulator.

The first Defiant predated the Intimidator, and was made by ICD under license. It was really just a Bushmaster 2000 with different milling, a funky grip, and cocker threads. Since it was a bushmaster it was spring-assisted, so a spring helps push the ram forward and air takes it back.

These new Defiants have nothing to do with the old Defiants or ICD, and are basically a smaller reworking of the Intimidator with no ram sleeves. Very nice, small, fast guns.

the barrel will, the reg will not. Bob Long decided to use reverse threads on the HPA, so that only the stock reg will be usably on the defiant. In time perhaps there will be a piece much like a barrel adapter that simply reverses threads, but only time will tell.

Also I found that the new Defiant, the Defiant II says Air Ram operation. I am very confused. I know what the old one is I am just trying to figure out the Defiant II because I haven't seen it in person yet.

The are both air ram. Just because two different guns both have an air ram, doesn't mean the rams are interchangeable. They are still two completely different guns that operate similarly.

for spring returned you forgot an oldie but a goodie the em1 and its close cousian the primal
