No, that leak is "ahead" of the cupseal in the flow stream. Try removing the screw that holds that piece in (Vertical ASA is the name of it) then pull it from the body. My guess is one of the 2 o-rings on it are bad.

If your using Co2 your vertcial adapter will get very cold and the O-rings become brittle over time. Need to keep O-rings lubed witha dot of oil it helps..
I have a question, Do you ever take you gun apart?

Don't force it. It just sounds like you don't have the screw lined up correctly. Just take your time and it'll go.

Sound like you Cross-threaded it...you have to be careful. Can you see if thats what happen?
If so slowly try and re-thread it with out striping it and if you does that was a $12.00 mistake here's a replacement Link

To change your Regulator off your ASA, Get a crescent wrench and turn it counter-clockwise. if it's feels stuck then heat up the threading and ASA housing a little with a blow dryer and should come right off....
But i thought your leak was where your vertical adapter slipped in the the receiver? The link i sent you was for a new VA where your striping out the screw hole
