Ion? You don't have much of a choice. Other than that, I'd say Mech-Cocker.

Why dont you just work on your control or adjust the trigger to make it a little stiffer.

as a woodsballer i can only really recomend the a-5. i know you said no blowbacks, but an a-5 with response trigger, and a good barrel is not only well under 500 but shoots 15 bps stock, and if you add a flatline you've got the magic range. only problem is an a-5 flatline barrel is a lil heavy. the cyclone feeder is also a kool feature...no ball breaks. but if you're hardcore anti tippy, then an ion is really what you're gonna need. but if you wanna save some mucho $ for a great woods gun then a-5.

ps- i have a 98c and the main reason i'd buy an a-5 is the cyclone ball feed. thats thing is sweeet!!!!!

Woodsball can be harsh on your gun, and tippmans are blocks of steel. It may not be the best performing gun, but my brother once fell off a little cliff and landed on his gun on a rock and it still works like a charm!

I love my cocker, its pretty sturdy too and works well for woodsball.

yea tippmanns are indistructable, when i was playing at skirmish 4 a bday party, my friend was on the top of a 10-20 foot tower capturing the other teams flag, he threw an old rental 98c off the tower and jumped off, he was under fire, the gun fell smacked the ground and when he hit the ground, he picked up the gun and it still shot like new

Get a bone stock 98c. That's what the hardcore use. Or get a Winchester or Brass Eagle gun. Save your money for paint.

If you own a Shocker, why (sorry guys) waste your time on woods? You should be bonus balling there, not the rec ballers.

NEVER, EVER BUY BRASS EAGLE. Stick with tippman for a cheap and sturdy gun a-5 > 98c , but I still think a nice A/C from Pbn can suit a person who likes to play both woodsball and recball.

yes you do have a point.im wanting another marker for sparingly played woodsball games, but most of the time i play speedball and pwn hehehe woodsballs more of a challenge.
so since im so used to single tube electros, ill go with teh ion. thnx

Might I suggest an automag?

Why? They are sturdy.

They don't chop. (with an L10 bolt kit)

They're small and light (with a ULE)

They're consistant.

Personally I'd see nothing wrong with an A5, but that's not what you're looking for.

I play with my brother's awsome tippy! Yea I have a shocker as well and they make me lock my ROF at 14. I also don't like getting my shocker dirty from woodsball. Florida=water=not good for shocker.

So get a tippy 98/a-5 response.
