Air tool Oil is recommended, and grease if electric gun. See bottom of Stabilizer page...http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/online...stabilizer.htm

Check out the manual, Maintainence and Lubrication sections.
If you haven't lubed it since last summer, there is little doubt that it seriously needs it now.
Squirt a bunch of oil in the ASA before airing it up and shoot the oil through the gun. No need to have the barrel on for lubing.

Sorry if this Q is out of place. I have a male stabilizer on my ion running at 160 PSI. Do I need a low pressure kit for it? I run HPA only.

Thanks
Jeff

Well, you probably don't "need" it, but the LP kit just may yeild a bit better consistency at that low of pressure.

What would be a better lube for the gun, Shockerlube or Slickhoney or does it not really matter ?

Thanks
Jeff

You shoudn't have to open it up unless there is a problem, I would do it once a year though. Any other time just put a few drops of oil in the asa and fire a few times.

Yes, but the fatty comes apart just a little differently.
No nickle needed to get the "cap" off.

That would be a older version of the Stabilizer. You'll neen a 3/8-24 bolt and nut. The 'jam' nut is tightened against the cap while holding the bolt. Then you can unscrew the cap with the bolt.
Unless you are pretty handy with tools, I wouldn't suggest getting into it yourself.
