Anyone Got a Toxic Performance 2XTrigger?
okay, i've seen these things...and i've tried to pm Dave on here who works there or owns it or whatever...no response...=[...so, to all of you that have these things....
i've got a Tippmann 2x trigger....are there any differences from mine other than the look?....obviously it's metal so it feels slightly different to the touch, but is the pull/travel/&play any different from a Tippy trigger?...i really think these things look great...but i'm not spending $30 on something that offers NO increase in performance....i mean, it has to at least do SOMETHING.....thanks!...

You said it's made of metal? Well, there you go. That's probably the only difference. Metal lasts longer, so they charge you more for it.
Since you already have a double trigger, I'd stick with it.

Parasite,
I'm sorry I didn't get back to you, honestly I never got the PM. My e-mail had been a bit screwey lately so maybe that's the cause, I'm not sure.
Anyway, to answer your questions,
-The pull is a bit shorter and lighter than the other 2x triggers. This is due to the back part acting a bit like a trigger stop. The lightness is causes by their being less spring tension, that was a happy accident.
I'm not gonna try and bs you by saying that your world will be a better place if you get one of our parts, but I think they're nice, and they seem to work pretty well. Alot of people like the way they look and and feel, and I guess that's good.
The RT kit will not work with our triggers, without mods. when i run out of the current triggers they will be redesigned to work with RT's. The rt just didn't exist when we had them made the first time.
If you guys have any questions, please feel free to ask away either here or via e-mail. dave@toxicperformance.
Thanks,
Dave

Dave, I'll be looking forward to your new triggers when you guys get em out... (the redesigned ones)
personally, the plastic triggers (2x or 1x) on the 98's is my biggest beef with the gun...

well, i got one
well, i got one of these toxic triggers.....i can't say that i'm not disappointed....i got black & silver.....the black was a nice, matte finish....(i think they said it was anno somewhere)....but the silver (i returned the black) looks pretty bad....it had sections on it where it wasn't buffed to a shine....it looks "dirty" in some areas.....
unfortunately, my gun isn't back from SiN yet, so i have not had a chance to test it's actual performance....from comparisions w/ my tippmann 2X trigger, it isn't going to be any different....i'll post what happens when i get to shoot w/ it....

well, i'm done my project on my toxic trigger....i've drilled and tapped a hole just above the spring to remove play....and i've polished it to a mirror shine...it took a little while, sanding anno off is a pain, and paint stripper didn't work....=[
anyway, here are a couple pics of the finished product:
also, dave (proprietor of Toxic) offered to replace my trigger because i was dissatisfied w/ it's condition....good guy!....no matter though...i "ruined" his silver anno....=]...if you can call it that....

Hey Dave, any possibility of making one for the Classic 98? There's still a lot of us that exist, including me.
I refuse to get a Custom. I like my antique version.

Meph,
We're working on m98 triggers, but to be completely honest it's going to be a while before they become a reality. I'll let you guys know what's up asap.
dave/ Toxic
P.S. Parasite, the trigger looks good.

I have a question. How hard was it cutting up your stickies for the 2x trigger gaurd? I don't know if i could handle taking an exacto knife to something that cost more than $20..lol

sorisko: paintballdude is right...it's part of the LP kit....
checkyoself: cuttin the stickies was no prob....just go SLOW!..don't rush, you'll screw up....and yes, it was nerve racking cutting $25 grips..but they came out just fine!...=]
anyways, as far as performance of the Toxic Trigger...it's exactly the same as the Tippmann 2x trigger....basically, it just looks good.....and like i said, the shine i got out of mine was about 2 hours of sanding an polishing to get it like that......but for the $5 extra for the Toxic, as opposed to the Tippmann, i'd say go for it....i mean, you can't beat the looks...the silver is kind of a silver anno....and the black is a nice matte black....
