Smile HALO B on GZ Video - round 2

Greetings,
Here is another lame really really slow video for your enjoyent:
www.pettypb.com/halo2.mpg
Listen closely and you can hear 11 skipped shots where the hopper couldn't keep up.
And yes, it has fresh batteries put in just before these speed runs.
This is with the delay set at 32!!
We have some segments where he is shooting MUCH faster for 1 or 2 second bursts, but these usually result in chops and bolt stick.
Hey Odessey, got anything faster to feed these Timis? - J/K!!

Heh, finally something fast, I was getting a little disapointed in you guys after the last video

How did it skip or chop, were the eyes disabled or not functioning properly? I'm very curious, but great video. keep up the good work

Greetings,
Yes, the eyes were working properly.
He was shooting so fast that it would see the bolt and think it was a ball and skip a shot.
If the ball is half way down, it will chop.
If it is not too far down, it will just push it back up into the hopper.
We kept upping the delay until it would shoot most of the time and not skip shots!
The scarey part is the paint bill!

trigger

how is the trigger set up on that marker? does it have the mod that is posted on the petty website? and how do you get it to cycle that fast? I can't get a speed and rhythm like that

Greetings,
That GZ has a Dragon trigger in it and then is adjusted to Morphious's liking.
The Dragon trigger is a lighter and can be more reactive with less return spring pressure.
Less mass lets it change direction faster.
As for the speed, we have been playing with Timis for quite some time and it just comes with practice.

Hey Marauder - It has been flawless so far.
Morph played with it in a tourney the day he got it and off and on this weekend.
This one worked well with the PMI Evil Advantage at the tourney and we have tried quite a few different paints thru it so far.
I am going to have to get one for my new 2K2 now as it will way outshoot the modified revies.

I would suggest you buy stock in the Energizer Bunny as it goes thru batteries pretty quick at 6 at a time and they only last about 6000 - 8000 rounds.
That and it only holds about 160 balls and feels like you have a brick on top of your marker - but it FEEDS LIKE CRAZY.

Nice Vern,
Fuel just got our HALO's today. We are an Oddsey team now. We were lovin on them at our practice with Havok, of course we don't shoot nearly as fast as Jeremy. We started the day shooting ultra brittle Evil, the white shelled type. and They fed flawlessly. I might have to look into a Timmi though.

Ever since I added the sob to my dragon, I got the same results(well close at least ). I played at the GZ tourney this past weeked and the trigger was so fast that GZ had to check my gun to see if it had some full auto setup.
I was so happy when they commented that the trigger was smooth and nice.
The halo-b is definitely a neccessary item. It may be a alot of money for a loader but look at what we spend on markers now, the price definitely justifies the performance.

BTW, tourneys are mad hard! Need to play alot more b4 I play in one again.

Hey Joker, Ill be up at the store Tuesday before Dan leaves for Chi town. Hes taking my GZ up there and I need to up the delay because of what Vern said above, if you really get going on it it will chop even with the halo because of the bolt/eye issue. If youre still around come by and check out the 2k2s, I got a feeling its gonna be better than the GZ We got a blue fade and pewter fade in, sawweeet.

Sweet!! That is awesome. I wonder if the bolt/eye issue will be solved with WAS's board.
That video is MUCH MUCH better than the Halo-E-mag video...

Sweet Video.

Is the new board going to be faster than the SOB board?

Greetings,
I hear it is supposed to be faster.
I will withold my judgement until I get one in my hands and personally test it.

The question that comes to mind:
If the HALO B can't keep up with the SOB, what are we gonna do to feed the beast and just how much paint can one person carry on their back?
---OR---
Will ten man have to become 10 man plus 3 pack mules to carry paint for the backers?
Then the other question: If your a$$ gets shot, are you out?
There would have to be some really big backer bunkers, too!
Then you would have to have someone with a shovel follow you around to clean up the misshaps - but you could get some really good slides on that stuff - just not face first!

OK, OK, too much caffeine this morning.

Yes but then it becomes a matter of defining equipment. Is the pack mule a player, or is it equipment? If it is equipment then you are out if it gets shot. Or maybe not, if it is treated like a pod, you are not out if it gets shot, but you cannot touch the mule after it has been shot. Can you stray more than 5 feet from the mule if it is classified as equipment? How fast can a mule run off the break anyhow?

If it goes for the pod rule then can you send the Mule out to another player to give him paint? You can throw a pod or leave it in a bunker. So could you leave the Mule, and another player use its paint? It would be hard to throw, but it might be able to get done.

however if you hit the pod, it can no longer be used, so will you need to start laying cover for your mule to move from bunker to bunker? And dead players can't pass paint, but can their mules?

hey guys i was one of the few that got to fire the equalizer board and all i can say is oh my god that thing it freakin fast!!! and Jim said that the proto board we were shooting is slower than the production. All that was feeding it was a turbo rev and we also tried it with the ricochet and it was on fire with both. Youll never have a problem again with skipping a shot or chopping because the bard is timed to actuate the eye after the bolt has passed the eye, and the marker wont fire unless there is a ball fully in the breach. you guys will freak out with this board! Jim was telling me that Bob was testing it with a halo b on a warpfeed and was shooting a sustained 22bps. WOW!!! well youll see the pics of it on warpig to bad there was no video, I never knew that the timmi could fire so fast with just an agitating hopper. all i have to say is that the equalizer will make the sob look like a snail. and i shoot an sob personally.
well lates,
Tim
