Question Camera Protection

I've been getting into photography more and more lately and want to start taking my camera to the local field. But how do you guys protect your camera from stray balls?

Aqua tech rain gear is the best way for SLR cameras. Or a watertight housing.

Other than that, neoprene and pray basically :S

I edited because I called the aqua tech a watertight housing. Apparently I was stoned

I use a $20 UV Protector, a towel + some zipties on my telephoto and sometimes a ziplock bag over the housing.

Depends on the weather for me. If it is raining, I will use my Aquatech. If it's ok out and I have a long lens on, most of the time I'll use a towel with rubberbands. If I have a short lens on, either a ziplock or nothing.

I just don't worry about getting hit because it always happens at some point or another.

I'd go for a long lens and maybe something like a UV filter, or polarizer.

Oh geez, I would cry if my D70 got hit. I would cry like a 1 year old that just fell down and lost my lollipop.

The UV protector + Lens hood helps a lot, most shots aren't dead on unless you are shooting facing someone who is laning

A big colored tshirt usually works well. The impact of a paintball wont really damage any modern SLRs...You just have to worry about paint muck getting all over and into your camera.
