mr happy's official picture thread

Here's some pics I took in Greece last week, I posted them in ST a couple days ago, so yes, you may have seen them before. more pics coming soon...

some church, there's tons of them all over the place there.

a view from just under The Acropolis (a big ancient ruin on a hill right behind me in this pic)

a guard in front of the parliment building guarding the tomb of the unknown soldier (yes, I realize he's dressed really gay )

this is a byzantine church of which there are tons.

the inside of hadrians library or something like that.

another byzantine church, yay

some big *** old temple, this was the most complete one I saw there.

this is from the island of Aegina, which is just a 45 minute ferry ride away from Athens and the number one producer of the best pistachio nuts in the world.

another shot from Aegina

and a cool lighthouse there on the coast of Aegina

a temple on the top of a mountain on Aegina

The acropolis at night from Lakavittos Hill

the ancient olympic stadium the was restored for the first modern olympics from the same place

here's some more pics

the Temple of Olympian Zues

it doesn't look that big until you see this one, that's my sister on the left, it's huge!

the Parthenon on the Acropolis

The Temple of the Six Sister's or something like that...also on the Acropolis

The Temple of Olympian Zues from the Acropolis, just to give you some perspective

The temple to the Sea god Posiedon or something like that. It's like 40-50 miles east of Athens.

Cool view from Soynio, which is where the temple from the last pic is.

another shot of the temple with a pretty flower...

and last but not least..I think this one is supposed to be Athina the warrior goddess or something...

hope you enjoyed the pics, if not, screw you

Greece is so beautiful, I can't wait to get out there and discover my roots.

What kind of camera are you using? Your photos don't seem very vivid, but some of them have pretty interesting compositions.

Good work!

its a very picturesque(sp??) lake, and so TONS of people take pictures of it, so it wouldn't surprise me if you've seen the same shot before, but I can prove it's mine....

I did like 1 or 2 seconds, can't remember, and too lazy to find out, had to use my ND8 filter to darken it enough.
