Do you ever out shoot your hopper?

Anyone with richochets or 12v ever out shoot their hopper? Wondering if buying a halo is realistic or just getting a richochet or 12 volt

Thanks

Talking Yes I used to outshoot my rev....

That was with my RT. Since then speed mods and paddle/impeller mods and finally an intellifeed control mod have made that all but impossible for me to do with my Angel (with WarpFeed).

I say mod your rev (it doesn't cost much) and/or wait for the HALO. The ric is loud and feels sort of cheap.

As soon as I see a HALO for sale, I'm buying it.

What EXACTLY do you have to do to install the "impeller mod"?

What parts do you need & where do you get them?

Thanks

I used a small hair dryer (heat source), pliers (to do the bending) and a screwdriver (as a stand).

Keep your rev handy to test the fit as you go.

The process is simple.
  • heat the arms (individually)
  • seperate them more so a ball will not get trapped on top of the impeller
  • bend them upward a bit so they won't touch the sides when spinning -- also enough that they won't trap a ball underneath at the edge of the feedtube

test it... fix it.... play.

Vern1 helped look for balloons
Greetings,
With an Intimidator equipped with the new Semi Only Board from Bob, the Petty Trigger Mod, a modified warp feed, Milled out regulator housing, LP Mod with the new LP chamber and a 12V pre-sun board modded to 15V in a black revy, we can still out shoot that on occasion.
But, Timi rules the speed area - sustained 15 to 16 BPS with spurts of 20 - 22 and with the ACE working, it's a wonder to behold.
5 cases between two people in the last tourney without a single broken ball.
Got called by two refs at PACS - just hand them the marker and let them wail on it - they just shake their heads and hand it back - it's still semi, just that fast!
Beat that sports fans.
