I was just thinking that what if paintball nation would require all of its users to register a bank account and a credit card in order to become a member sorta like paypal. That way if someone scams someone else and they have proof through tracking numbers or whatever that they sent the product and didn't get what they were suppose to in return they can be refunded the value of their product from the scammers bank account or credit card. This would solve the whole scamming problem and all the transactions would go a lot smoother. LMK what you think

why is that a horrible idea it would stop scammers. Paypal does it and it works fine. You obviously don't trade to much because you have no feedback so how would you know

Paypal is a bank, we are not. There's no way people would entrust us with such information, as we're not equipped to deal with protecting such important information, and they'd be foolish to do so.

It wouldn't stop scammers and a lot of the members here don't have credit cards or bank accounts.

Terrible idea. And while I'm not at all authorized to speak on behalf of those who run PBN, I wouldn't expect that they'd be enthusiastic about the responsibility that would bring with it.

Not to mention that if PBN required a bank account or credit card number, I'd wager a significant portion of the members (myself included) wouldn't be here.

you wouldnt have to require it for membership but whoever would want to could add that and it would be like a bonus to do business with such people

It would deffiently stop scammers because no matter what they would still have to pay for the product and if you dont have a credit card or bank account im sure your parents do. It wouldnt have to be a requirement to be a memeber it could be like a bonus feature for members that want it

Honestly, who would want to give PBN information like that? I'd be surprised if we get even one person (besides the OP) in this thread.

I'm not saying that I would trust them with that infromation as of now but I'm sure its possible for them to take steps in making it safe to give such information in the future

Ok, I'm gonna speak on behalf of the rest of the staff when I say this won't ever happen. I've worked with banks before, the kind of security you need to properly protect this sort of information makes my head spin.
