DM7- smoother shot, more orings to lube and break, more updgrades available
Etek- less maintenace, more efficient, more kick

The prices are probably pretty comparable. A lot will depend on the marker's condition and upgrades.

It all depends on what gun you want. It seems like it would be a fair trade if it is just gun for gun.

I grew up shooting the Planet Eclipse line.... so i would go with the Etek. The dm7 is older and needs a ton of lube to keep it shooting consistently.

All of these threads should be deleted as they turn into vs threads too easily.

All dms love lube. There's nothing you can do about that. But in my professional opinion, the dm7 is the best dm on the market. If there's something wrong with the gun, it's either an easy fix, or it's user error.

The dm7 is a high end marker. The etek is a mid-range marker. You wouldn't compare an ego6 and a etek2 and say that the etek is better because it's newer. It might be newer, but the ego was made with better parts regardless of age.

I'm an ego lover by all means, but I would shoot a dm7 over an etek3 any day of the week.
