So I can't quit thinking about the DYE DAM. I ran across this forum in the Dye Matrix thread and his has some pretty sick pictures and configurations. Looks like retail is $1300.00. The only thing I am curious about is it comes fuly loaded or if you have to buy accesories because they are already selling them seperate.

I saw that T. I don't know the more I think about it the less I'm in to it...

1. It would be cool to be able to shoot FS and then switch over to hopper on the fly but if you have to Chrono the FS at 280 as soon as you switch to your hopper you'll loose 20 fps from what people are saying. Shooting 1 or 2 guys with a FS isn't worth putting myself at a disadvantage against all teh other guys I shoot at with normal paintballs.
2. FLASC recommends that you use a .687 or .690 bore size when shooting FS. So you'll be overboring as soon as switch to PBs. Last time we played I chronoed in with the stock FX barrel which is overbored and then swtiched over to my Scepter which was bore matched. I was 276 +/- 8 with the stock and it was at 330 +/- 3 with the Scepter (Dave called me a "cheater" the first shot over big red). Say the least I won't be going back to overboring, I even broke down and have a SS freak kit coming in because my old Scepter maxes out at .682 and most of teh newer paint seem to roll out.
3. It' kind of step in the other direction than I've been heading. I've been following the lighter and smaller road and this is way bigger and heavier. It makes my old Cocker look like a paper weight and that was a beast (it still rocks but its still a beast compaired teh Shcoker and FX).
4. At $1,300 its pricey. I figure for '13 I have 3 choices for my big budget item; a Remington 12 ga Versa Max, a Ego 11, or a DAM. To be honest I'm thinking the Versa Max this coming year and the year after that a new Ego.

It should be interesting to see what other companies will do though. Kingman now has a mag feed, BT already has the TM15 and TM7 lines so I'll bet money they will make a FS mag feed soon as well based on thier TM15.

Gaa that was a lot bigger that I expected.

I just dont see the point in those guns.. Seriously is there an advantage? Im thinking of buying an Etha just to play band of brothers but im not going to put the tatical kit on it. Just seems pointless to me. Mabe ill buy an AXE for it i donno. SHOULD HAVE KEPT MY EGO7!

I see your point Mag. But at the same time there is still that little kid in me that sees that thing and wants to play guns again. They are pretty cool tech sh!t. But for the money I think I will buy another EGO 11 for that kind of play. Like I have said before. I used my tourny gear at the last one and loved it. It is like Laz said, It was like COD but real! I like every thing about the DAM but don't want to lug that thing all day. Plus like Trent said it is all new and who know what kind of bugs are still in it. Mag you really need to go with us and see for your self. I bet you will have a blast!

Just got the chance to check out World Cup today!
There was really nothing new or innovative this year. The dm13 looked great, but other then all of the new amazing colors, you're better off just buying a used dm12 for $850. The DAM looked sweet! This was the best new product at cup! Very sturdy build, felt great in hand...just a very polished product overall! If you're looking for a budget gun the GOG Extacy felt great...it's essentially an upgraded ion (clamp feed neck, on/off Asa, freak barrel)...had a nice feel, and they sell for a great price. They also had the new speed feeds for the spire. It's a spring loaded design (instead of the preformed rubber speed feeds). The fingers fell easily, sprang back nicely, and the rigid plastic made it impossible for the fingers to flex backwards...seems like a nice design...if you bought a crown 2 with yours Eric (if you ever get it), then you can get the new lid by sending yours back to virtue + $10. HK gear was sturdy and nice...also dyesnew colors for rotors and i4s were nice (although i was hoping for an i5 and a rotor 2). I guess that was it for gear and guns.
I watched a few games too! The ironman stomped Seattle thunder, and vicious was beating the hell out of Sacramento xsv when I left...pretty good couple of hours I got to spend at cup!
Just thought I would share that with you fellas! See you guys hopefully sooner then later!
