thanks for the reply and perspective. I guess i have been out of Tech so long i forgot wearing gear and letters = "representing". Nowadays, I wear stuff because i think they're funny (slacker shirts)... make for good conversation (pink pony t-shirt)... because I like the team, idea, company (Tech stuff, my bro's firehouse shirts, angel and dye soft goods, etc)... haha.

anyways... let me know if you guys change your minds... i only wear paintball gear for recball and i doubt anybody ever confuse me for a student.

There are likely administrative issues the team would need to clear with Tech before doing something like that. Caution first due to previous team handling.

You're exactly right. In all likelyhood the Institute would never know if we handed out GT jerseys, but thats the kind of thing that the PR department really doesn't like.

We don't really know the rules on that stuff and prefer to err on the side of caution considering the...iffy...history of this club at Tech.

Yes, as long as you keep it put away and don't do anything stupid with it you'll be fine. Just don't go showing it off to people because you technically aren't supposed to have it in the dorms.
