To elaborate on what he said, the muscles in your eyes essentially lose their ability to see things close. This happens whether you have corrective surgery or not at about 40–45 and we'll all need reading glasses.
Also, I understand that some ppl are worried about the risks. Though I think it's the best thing I've ever spent my money on, I understand it's not for everyone. I just wanted to let those who were on the fence know what to expect.
As for error in the procedure, but they examine you and check your prescription a few times before you actually go in. I may have already mentioned this but they put stickers on each of your shoulders and have you confirm your name, and date of birth which is what's on each shoulder, because the surgery is permanent. For me, who had an astigmatism, what that means is that my eye was more shaped like a football. The surgery molds the ovals shaped point into a round figure so the light and what we see hits the back of the cornea. Some crazy sh** indeed.

i wish my prescription positive, at least those people can usually still drive and such because they just cant see things close up. moms that way, and shes always been able to watch tv or something comfortable from across the room where i have to move closer.
