I have a Tanabe Super Racing Med. 3" turbo back.. Thermal makes some nice exhuast.. they have one for the GST.

ahhhh nothing like a good old talon with all wheel drive, a big turbo, an open waste gate, and straight 3 inch pipe off the turbo....a friend of mine has one and its a viper killer( i know cause i was in the car when he destroyed about 5 vipers in one night.) one of the fastest cars ive been in besides two of my friends evo's.....and JDMOTO needs to hook us up with a parts list and how to for this sweet mod

my 02 silverado i put a corvette LS6 from a wrecked Z06 and put a powerdyne supercharger on it. it was fast i get many speeding tickets from it. it was cool til a drunk driver decided it was cool to hit me head on at 65MPH <--- it tickled alot lol anyways

Well here is how you install a new swtich for your ION. this can be anything a flip switch or a mebrane pad, hell you can even use a house light swtich if you wanted too. lol

as you can see the button swtich is there, All you have to do is tack on some wires on to its side. like what i did. you dont even have to remove the swtich from the board. This way you can unsolder the wires if you need to repair the board or send in SP.

Then you just run long enough wires down to the pad, The Dye pad has three holes. the top hole closest to where it says DYE:
1. POS. power for the Power button.
2. Common ground for both buttons.
3. POS. Power for the Eye button.

Now the trick part is just readjusting the battery around. Also what I did is I put a small black tape over the ribbon of the membrane, this will help protect the ribbon and hide the it kinda.

When sticking the Pad down, Make sure you clean the frame up with rubbing alcohol, to remove all the oil from the surface.

This is a very straight forward thing. All plug and play..well kinda..

no, you just place the ribbon on the side of the frame where the grips & frame meet. see picture above for ref.

Now bare with me for a second, as I'm not familiar with Dye's markers or their parts. Never owned one or tech'd one...

I'm assuming this membrane pad would work correctly?

No worries man your on the right track, first off that the Membrane Pad i used. as you can see the new one Green, with the black plastic connector.
The LED you might be talking about is a diffrent mod. The LED isn't attached to the swtich at all. If you search page1 or 2 you should find that thread.

JDMOTO have you ever owned a gun that you didnt mod the hell out of.That actualy is a very good idea using the dye pad, I was thinking of doing something similar but it would involve drilling and soldering a button in place.
