I usually post the friday before the event if I have time. If I dont' have time, then schedules will be handed out at the captains meeting at the event.
Keep in mind that the Series Prizes aren't going to be spectacular We'll do what we can but who knows what credit I have towards the series considering all the price increases of paint and fuel.... all that eats into KEE's profits which then eats into the credit the series has for series prizes.
Also remember that the MPS focuses on giving away a large dollar amount of prizes for each event rather than just the series prizes.
I received word of more L3 teams registering today… so we should be back up to our 15 teams in L3!! Because of this, we are back up to prizes to 6th place in this Level!!
Below is what my first thoughts are as far as game formats for each level:
Short Version:
L1 – Double round robin w/ No Finals
L2 – Single round robin w/ No Finals
L3 – Single round robin w/ No Finals
L4 – Single round robin w/ Finals
Long Version:
L1 – Double round robin with 5 teams would mean 8 games per team guaranteed and 20 games total for this level. If you don’t want to do the double round robin and you want to mix things up a little, we can do the best 2 out of 3 …. Similar to how PSP does it. So that if a team wins against another team the first two games, that third game isn’t played and is automatically awarded to the winning team. However, if the first two games are split, then that third game is played. If this option is decided, then it would be a minimum of 8 games per team if you won all the games or 12 games for a team that split all their games. My opinion is to do a double round robin in case you did split all your games and you were forced to play 12 games. 12 games is too much $$ considering the payout in my opinion. So a double round robin is what it will be unless a majority of the teams in this level strongly opposes.
L2 – Single round robin is really our only option for L2. If I split up the level and did two brackets, then that would mean only 5 games for some of the teams which would suck for those teams. Doing a single round robin with 13 teams would mean 12 games per team guaranteed with 78 games total for this level. 12 games is the right number IMO considering the payout for 1st place.
L3 – My first thought is to do a single round robin giving each team 14 games guaranteed with a total of 105 games. There would be no finals for the sake of the reffing crew…105 games is a lot to reff. The only alternative is to split the level into two brackets. One bracket would have 7 teams and the second bracket would have 8 teams. The bracket with 7 teams would mean only 6 games guaranteed for those teams who do not make finals. If your in the 8 team bracket and you did make finals, your playing 12 games anyways…. That is why I figured a single round robin makes the most sense. So a single round robin is what it will be unless a majority of the teams in this level strongly opposes.
L4 – This is a no-brainer. With 11 teams, doing a single round with top 4 teams to finals is the best option. This would be 10 games guaranteed and 13 if you make finals. 58 games total.

We’ve always voted for finals in the captains meeting for L2 and L1 and it never passes. So I didn’t even consider it for this event to save me un-necessary work.
I had one team from L3 say they would like finals… if enough L3 teams (or even L2 teams) unite and say they want finals, then we’ll include it.
I had another L2 teams just PM me wanting finals. I’ll go ahead and make the score sheets for finals in L2 and we’ll vote for it at the captains meeting.
I may have another team signed up for L3. If I get 16+ teams, do you still want to do a round robin? It would mean 15 games per team and 120 games total.
