US Paintball League’s 2009 Schedule
Introducing Your League’s Western and Eastern Conferences

The US Paintball League’s 2009 season will consist of six events. The season opener, the Surf City Open, will take place on the beach in Huntington Beach, CA April 3 – 5, 2009.

The US Paintball League will offer Divisional teams three titles to compete in; a Western Conference title, Eastern Conference title and the National Series title. To win their Conference Title, teams will be able to earn points in three events.

Bart Yachimec of Edmonton Impact explained “we wanted to make sure teams who couldn’t afford to compete in all of the events still had a chance at earning a championship by only having to travel to one event. Just the same, teams who want to support the circuit by playing in most or all of the events will be rewarded with the opportunity to swap out some of the standings”.

US Paintball League Commissioner Chuck Hendsch added that “By introducing Conference play the league is looking to add excitement to the series race and give teams a better chance at winning their conference title, a National title or both.”

All four dates of the 2009 US Paintball League are confirmed, with some venues yet to be announced:

Surf City Open: April 3 – 5, 2009 Huntington Beach, CA
West Coast Open: July 24 – 26, 2009 Corona, CA
DC Challenge: August 28 - 30, 2009 Washington DC
World Championships: October 16 - 18, 2009 Las Vegas, NV - On the Strip! Confirmed!

All events count towards the National Series Title. More details surrounding the conferences will be included in the 2009 US Paintball League Rule Book.

well with the 2 conference situation, you'd have to assume that 3 events will be west coast and 3 events will be east coast to be fair to splitting the 6 events between the two coasts. so that leaves me to assume that the final event/world championship will be on the east coast.

ya i was assuming that 1 of the events that are not confirmed would b east coast.. probly floriday.. or a sc or nc event.. to keep it even.

and i rele like that idea that u dont have to play all the events.. just the events in your conference. and you can still have a chance at the overall.

I'd alter the schedule and move the "West Coast Open" to somewhere in the south like Florida or Carolina... Give the rest of the country some love. FL and the Carolinas have huge scenes.
