Why would you want to?

You could, but then you could potentially short stroke it. You would be taking something that was designed to work well as an electronic marker, and make it mechanical?

In the future, look at this page, watch the animation until you are completely certain you understand how it works, and then answer this question for yourself: http://zdspb.com/tech/misc/animations.html

Odds are that if it has a dump chamber that gets sealed it can be turned mech pretty easily, but again, i would have to ask why.

Should be pretty trivial to make one a mech - I've wanted to get my hands on an Etha for a while to look at doing both a mech and closed bolt conversion on one.

Hardest part will be making the plumbing connect either to the manifold or making a new manifold.

Cause not everyone is rich and likes to waste money on batteries, more well spent on paint if you ask me. The main reason I use a pump over a heavily modded Axe.

Batteries aren't that expensive and you can get rechargeable batteries. This argument has never made sense, including when I used to use it. It could be argued that you would use less paint, but that amount is marginal at best and can also be controlled by making sure you have good trigger control.

If you have a broken solenoid, it makes sense as those can be expensive. Otherwise it's pointless as there are other markers that are intended to be mechanical that are cheaper, and you don't have to spend the money to convert them. There are even ones that are similar to the Etha already. It seems decently pointless to me unless you happen to be "rich" and want to spend money on a cool project.

The bottom line is that there's no advantage to be had by performing this modification. It could be cool or interesting, but it definitely wouldn't save money.

That's a perfectly valid reason, and doing it for an event makes more sense to me than anything else.

As y0da said, it should be pretty easily conceptually. He would be the first person I would turn to for help if I needed it though.

I'm not familiar with the marker itself, but you should be able to do it with an MSV-2 or something similar, you would just have to make sure you can route it correctly. I suspect you'll need a new manifold as y0da alluded to.
