We are finalizing the details for the release! I applaud your enthusiasm less than 24 hours after the event is over, looking for the next layout! I am doing my best to get it up online, but even though the tournament is over, still had to finish picking up trash from the parking lot and emptying trash cans. Had to get all start gates, boundary cones off the field and start the rejuvenation process fort the tournament fields as the next event is only 5 weeks away and we want the players to have the best playing surfaces that we can offer. I appreciate all of the teams and players who participate in the league.

To Cyndi and everyone else who runs and owns gpl and to you gizzmo i would like to speak for PA FALLOUT as this was the first time we have ever played in the gpl/mapl and it was our best tournament experience ever, the past 2 years we have played d5 epl and then d4 epl and now made the jump to playing in the d2/d3 mapl and could no believe how it was ran, all the reffs were making great calls when they needed to be made and we had not one issue with the reffs, they were getting in there and pulling people right when they were hit and not let them play on, the staff was amazing, everyone was friendly and even tho were under stress from all the teams and getting the tournament running smooth they kept cool and represented the league very well. We can not wait for event 2 and are looking very forward to it, keep up the amazing work all of you do cuz it really pays off in the long run giving all us regional players a great event and venue to play!
Thanks to all of the MAPL and the reffs,
PA FALLOUT

Psyched to see how they use the snake. Also, a quick question on the bunkers. We all saw how the new valken field had some bunker's proportions different from the old PSP fields with extension kit. What will be used in the d4/d5 5 man division in event 2?

We noticed it as well when we were setting the fields and that's why we decided to run the D2/3 division on that field and the larger D4/5 divisions on the 2 fields that were identical. We concluded that it wouldn't be fair for one bracket play on the Valken field and the other bracket on the HK or Raza field and then the finals, one bracket would not have played on the other field. I can assure you that we will do everything make sure no one has a disadvantage from a field standpoint.

Ok cool, yea I noticed that you made that change and my team being scheduled on the valken field in d4/d5 were very relieved you guys did that. I was just curious what will be used in the future, I trust the MAPL to always be as fair as possible, thanks.

Correct me if Im wrong but didn't PSP/SupAir make the 2012 bunkers slightly shorter and wider? Hence why the brand new Valken field was slightly different from the two other PSP fields that just had the 2012 upgrade kit?

Yes, you are correct. The psp fields were 2011 fields with extension kits.

So I'm assuming we are not using the Chicago layout four event 2? That's going to be rough for teams trying to play both event 2 and chicago, with only 2 weeks in-between them on different layouts.
