I've always played with my DM7 on stock settings. I added a CP flow plug, readjusted the LPR to about 3.5-4 turns out, and played. Typically get 8-10 pods out of it (somewhere around 1300-1500 shots per 68/4500 tank and depending on field velocity). At OK D-Day last year shooting marbs @ 0.682 size, 275fps chrono, I shot 1500 shots and still had a tiny bit of air left. Obviously higher chrono and larger ball size would bring the shots down.

I upgraded the stock board @ D-Day 09 to the Virtue OLED but still maintain the stock dwell settings.

as has been said in 100s of threads on here, set dwell to 20 or 21, turn the lpr in until you feel pressure. air up. turn the lpr out until the bolt goes back. start dry firing and turn the lpr out until the bolt is no longer cycling slowly. take it to a chrono and see how consistant it is. if its not consistant, up the lpr slightly until it is consistant.

ive done this trick on my dm8 and worked great...but when i tried it on my dm7 with the lpr in until pressure felt...it just starts leaking badly through the grips and stops when i turn it back out about 4-5 turns...got any idea on whats wrong?

^is the marker leaking once the bolt is sucked back, or just when it is forward? is your hpr set high enough, ie to chrono? are your can and top hat exterior orings and bolt sail orings in good condition and properly lubed?

a chrono is a must have to get almost any marker working and tuned as it should be. if you have a pressure tester you can set it to 145 psi and it should be in the ballpark. if the hpr is set too low it can cause leaking, but this doesn't mean your hpr is set too low.

hater sauce has caused problems for some people, including myself. i wold try new orings and a different grease. also, if you are using too much lube you can have problems. you only want enough to make the orings look wet.

this thread is great for the new dm owner for sorting out leaks:
