No prob, Rob. I used to work customer service so I know how tiring it can sometimes get answering the same questions over and over, even though it's different people asking it.

I would say it would be fine. Pumps don't need to recharge super-quick. I used my Sniper with all the shims removed from my Ninja reg and it was perfect.

I have a mini that I'm looking to put a smaller tank on and I found the Ninja Aluminum Air Tank - 13/3000. Its light (1 pound) bit I'm not sure I'll get enough air to last in a game (looking for 1000 to 2000 shots.

Would I get that level of air out of a Ninja Aluminum Air Tank - 13/3000?

No. I am not sure a Mini would get 1000 shots from a 68/45. You may want to look into upgrades that will increase your efficiency. An upgraded bolt (Boss or Lurker) and a new barrel (small bore so you can under bore) will help some.

Forgot to mention I have a Lurker bolt and I underbore to 0.684 bore.

I'm shooting 250 to 500 shots a game so 750 to 1000 shots at 180 PSI is more my target.

What would a 13/3000 tank yeild as far as number of shots?

So here's a tech question:

I got a new ninja 45/4500 this morning from a local retailer and played with some friends this afternoon. When unscrewing the tank from my ASA the bonnet seperated from the regulator body and the remaining gas vented out. It felt like the burst 1.8 disk may have blown but ive never seen a disk blow so i dont really know.

So what happens when the bonett seperates from the body when there's still gas in the bottle? what do I have to replace or fix?

thanks

The SLP is built specifically for the Bob Long G6R and Victory. We have not done any testing with the SLP on pump markers. I would suggest borrowing a friends SLP tank if you can get your hands on one and do some testing. If you're able to chrono at the velocity you need to be at and done have any issues, I would say go for it.

you will only get about 120 shots (roughly) off a 13cu bottle. In order to achiever 1,000+ shots, you would at least have to use a 68cu/4500psi bottle. This is a rough estimate and lot of factors are involved when dealing with efficiency like weather (humidity), paint to bore match, etc.

shocktrooper. What type of marker? I just want to see if there is an on/off or if its just an ASA you're using. If you're using an ASA, you have to remember that if you still have pressure in your tank and its at the stock pressure setting, you have 800psi coming out of that regulator as you're unscrewing it from the ASA. You will need to make sure to keep the set screws in the bonnet locked down and tightened of the set screws in the bonnet could eat up the threads on the reg body that the bonnet screws onto. As long as there are 5 threads left for the bonnet to screw onto, you will be fine. Just need to make sure to clean out any metal shavings found inside the regulator.

If there are less than 5 threads left, you will need a new regulator. If you like, you can call us direct at 877-646-5287 for additional or immediate assistance.

The marker is an autococker with a direct ASA, but I've had the marker a long time and have used a bunch of different tanks with it.

thanks a lot for the quick reply I'll have to check out what I've got and post back.

sounds good. I have an old duckbill on a trilly I converted to pump and I always have to make sure the set screws in the bonnet are snug. If they are loose, upon removal of the air system from your asa, the bonnet could potentially separate from the body. Keep em snug and dont torque your air system into the asa and you should be good to go.

PSLBaller, for the gel coat issue, it's safe to use as long as the carbon fiber isn't exposed and damaged.

You could also contact ninja for a repair on it.

Kinda rare to see issues with gel coat crcks on a grey tank. If they are cracks and not chips, you can go through the warranty process by clicking the warranty link and following the instructions for Bottle Warranty

I have an SLP reg and an adjustable ninja reg. the SLP is on a 68/45 and adjustable on a 45/45. I want to swap them without going threw the pain of removing the entire reg. can i swap only the top and internals? So putting an SLP internals and top on an adjustable regs bottom (part with fill nipple and gauge)

No. Each reg is hand built and tested and each spring is stress relieved to ensure the proper output pressure for the body we install them in. No way to know what the final output pressure will be if you take parts from one reg and install them in another. This will also void out your warranty if you decide to do it.
