Will Digital Paintball be moving to the Source engine once HL 2 is released?

I'll do the best I can to explain it.. Here goes.

Source engine is basically the main code. The coding is already finished, to make a mod you need to edit some parts of the coding (as well as create some).

Counter-Strike, Team Fortress Classic, Day of Defeat, Digital Paintball, they all use the same basic source from HL.

When HL2 is released, it has completly new code, allowing the game it'self to be better, but modifications, such as Digital Paintball to be better.

The source engine, in short, is basically what the modifications run on.

I believe he's talking about counterstrike: source, and DPB will be running on the Half-Life 2 engine which is the same as CS:Source

No you will need to buy HL2 and install it, no word yet if single player will be run through steam chances are it will to limit piracy.

You will not need HL2 for 2.2.

You will however need HL2 for DPB Mark 2 (When it comes out.)
