Exclamation Hey NEIC/Alex! good indoor location!

I think All Star Indoor Paintball would be the perfect location for next year's indoor event.
It's located centrally and has a big open X ball field.

Video interview with field owner:
http://www.thnt.com/apps/pbcs.dll/ar...VIDEO/71118001

It just opended on the 2nd of November so it's very new.

Here's their official pbnation thread:

As another option, which I pm'd you about earlier Matt and you never got back, Monster Paintball in Woburn MA would be open to having a tournament. The only downside is the field is 75% that the size of regulation, but it's indoors with thick turf, and has an xball field that was bought at World Cup. I was about to post a thread to gauge interest. I doubt that many would be interested seeing as though it's a 300 mile drive for most, but we were hoping that by NEU driving 300 miles down to Crim's this past weekend that other teams would be willing to return the favor. Anyways it's another option.

Personally, any event that doesn't require waiting until February to play I'm game for, regardless as to where it is.

Either works for RPI - we are willing to travel, although getting an event a little more North would be good too.

this place is very nice, and their XBall field is brand-new. Gotta love that.

NEIC teams have had to go far for tournaments before as well. I don't see why we would have our 4th event on a small, indoor, field when the weather should allow for a good, outdoor, event.

I'm open for suggestions for event 4. We should probably go with an indoor field, since the event will be in March. Sorry I didn't get back to you, I was busy trying to get the event at Crims set-up, since we had to find a new field last minute. send me an email. matteyer@temple.edu

There won't be any NEIC events until February. Next week is Thanksgiving, and after that everyone starts finals and then goes home for winter break. Everyone is back by mid January, then our next event is February 9th, giving us all a few weeks to get ready/practice.

i dont think that people should complain about driving far since it is your choice to attend which events...i knew the have to drive atleast 6 hours to get to any NEIC event...in march, i agree that it should probably be an outdoor event since it should be warmer by then

There is no guarantee of it being warm in March. If we have a nice indoor field available, as All Star looks to be, we might as well have the event there.

Not a fan of the carpet (yes I've been spoiled by turf), but at least NJ is only a 6 hour drive...

A March event should be indoors, no doubt about that.

Agreed. A good location for NEIC Class AA for this season, next semseter. As their 4th event.

And a good location for NEIC A next season. For their 2nd or 3rd event.
Maybe LVP as the 2nd event and All Star as the 3rd?

Oh, and honestly. College paintball has the worst season for tournaments. One good tournament in the fall, Nationals is nice in the spring and in between...is winter. Haha, we miss out on most of the spring and all of the summer. So, the more decent looking indoor places, the better.

I've thought about hosting an event there. From what I've heard though they don't have a lot of room for pits, air lines etc.

I've never actually been there though.

all that stuff would be important especially if there was a quality turnout from the NEIC teams

Well, I'll be visiting soon Alex and I'll let you know. I mean...Class A for NEIC doesn't make the schedule until like August if we're lucky, so I think we have some time to investigate.

NEIC Champs were around the same time last year and it was warm. By my calculations, the effects of global warming will make the 4th event 13.2 degrees warmer this year.

it is possible for a class AA event, however, i do not think it is good for a class A event at this time.
