Starting at $41K with a raise to $71K in 6 months plus good benefits is really good pay for someone without a college degree. Hell, it's pretty good pay for most people with college degrees.
But, is it something you want to do for the rest of your life? $71K is good money. But it's not worth being miserable. If you think you'll enjoy the job, I say go for it. If not, the pay doesn't really matter. That's my 2 cents.
