Quick question about the ncxl. Being that it is the north carolina xball league, why wouldnt/couldn't all the events be held at various nc fields instead of surrounding states? I know that a few different nc based leagues are also in other states, but why? Is it bc there aren't enough different fields or big enough fields? If its the field numbers issue, whats wrong with just rotating between maybe 3 or 4 fields?? Like Black Ops, PBC Greensboro, South West, Xtreme Kombat, etc?? I think those fields are more than sufficient for this league. Im just spit balling. Either way, im excited about playing some of these events. Thanks guys.

I'll take a stab at it. I'm sure it doesn't have so much to do with geography then how much support can be generated by the fields and field owners and players based on entry, staff, and number of teams attending. John is trying to bring a very affordable product at a price that most players and teams can afford. He also has to worry about the quality of the product in terms of costs. Keeping it affordable has to be the #1 priority. So, you say well looking at a Virginia and Georgia event involve travel of NC teams out of state. That being said it also involves Virginia and Georgia teams traveling to NC as well. I think its a tradeoff. You'll still have quality events throughout in my opinion, plus there is cap limit on number of teams so that is also a consideration. Liberty U alone may field 3 teams at that event. You'll have "pick ups" from the Greensboro area as well. Even if the pick up teams only play one event, you'll have a very successful Virginia event. Ditto for Georgia. Lots a good players still milling around. As long as NCXL keeps the cost in check, can generate enough to pay its staff, and help with the marketing aspect of a field and what it offers to the general public, the league will flourish. A 7-man and X-ball format also does wonders!

I think john hit the nail onbthe head and also going out of the state to big indian and liberty university brings a lot of good teams and players to the league that you normally wouldnt get here in nc before anyone gets butthurt im not saying that the nc teams that play this league are no good im simply sayin that if you rotate a league around nc with one division it would be the same teams playin each other over and over but by goin out of state you get the teams that u wouldnt usually play against here in nc
