Best/Coolest War movie/show?

I'm just curious what you guys think..... this is kind of just a fun little thread so post your opinion..

My personal favorites are Red Dawn and The Longest Day...

My favorite military/war related shows are: Generation Kill, Over there, and of course Band Of Brothers

The thin red line - I love it because it addresses the human impact of war, and the value of soldiers fighting for other soldiers and not for a 'cause' or their superiors. Officers probably hate this movie..
I also like:
band of brothers
A bridge too far
Letters from Iwo Jima
Stalingrad - a German movie, very good and moving
The lost battalion

Full Metal Jacket FTW (At least the boot camp portion, the part in Vietnam is just retarded.)

Enemy att he Gates is the best sniper movie imo, and I like We sere Soldiers, Saving Private Ryan, and Generation Kill.

You know that one SEAL guy from combat missions was killed while working as a contractor in Iraq.. Kind of sad, he was my favorite guy on the show. It was funny when he flipped out and told the SWAT guys they had no business being there and were all retards.

modern warfare = Black Hawk Down. Not much hollywood or political crap, just a true story (well, the hollywood version, but as close as its going to get).

Overall = Band of Brothers. Has it all, action, drama, character growth, and oh wait, ITS ALL A TRUE STORY (if you can't tell i like true stories. if you can dream it up, its happened in war, so why not honor the ones who went through it?)
