lol

The JT field was garbage, no probs in center court. JT though.......wow!
Funny how you see the refs afraid to pull pros and then "eager" to pull lower Div players. I love how 2 refs on the 50 tried to explain why they were having a conversation during a game - the reply , "nah, thats something we do to trick the players on the field, make it look like we are talking."
OK, so your not looking directly in fron t of yourself , which is the location you were placed in front of to make call on players.Just do your job with an unbiased opinion about teams/players/divisions.
That field was a complete disappointment.....

pump refs did a really great job from what i saw. seemed like just about every "close" tradeout was called right. if one dude was shot first, the other guy was wiped off, and i personally never saw a mistake. awesome job guys.

Reffing was excellent on all fields except the Angel with the exception of the ones on the near side. Far side dorito corner ref, if I get shot, I don't have the need for you to physically pull me out of my bunker and into lanes of paint. Neither did 2 of my teammates. Head ref, cool guy, but seriously get an eye exam. I saw, and experienced, your inability to watch both players in the snake at the same time.

But more to the point, on Sunday we had to go to a third game. It is a 3 on 3 and one of our guys runs down the field sticking the 40 box clean, gets shot by our corner in the dead center of his pack and slides into their dorito corner. By the time the ref can catch up to him he had already shot the snake corner. In this time we lose our snake corner. The ref pulls out their snake corner, and decides to pull our last guy 30 seconds later, without throwing any flag or motioning a 1-for-1, because of the accidental pull of the other teams player. Leaving the other team with one player live, the win, and the advancement to the ocho's or whatever ridiculous name they have for it. Almost an hour later, the refs' stories change more than once, and numerous different people coming to the field, the east coast head/ultimate agrees to have a "do-over" if the ref admits he pulled our guy because he mistakenly pulled a player on the other team. The ref admits, so
he gets pulled to the side with the ultimate and guess what happens when they come back? "That's not what he meant" when he admitted the mistake. So, our tournament ended there because a fault on a ref's part. I will no longer be attending events held by the NPPL.

i felt bad for a couple of the refs cause they would go in to check a player in the snake and i would keep shooting til they called the player out or clean. never know the ref could do like i saw on the jt one game on sunday when the ref pulled a players gun by the barrel from behind the bunker to check it and the gun got shot.

I had a few bad calls (when a ref admitted he pulled our player for sliding on a paintball, then pulls a 1 for 1 on it, which definitely changed the outcome of the game) but overall good reffing. they can only call it how they see it.

Saw that happen. None of those refs could get their story straight. Your team should have had that game without a doubt, and moved on. I don't blame you for never playing another NPPL after a call like that; I wouldn't.
