we could start by talking about that feedneck. I have been looking for a fbm hooker but I may give up the search in favor of this.

I kind of want to know what kind of mods people are doing to these old guns. I saw the blast hole mod, and it makes total sense, and I will be doing that. what else kind of stuff do you typically do to the species.

with the hooker you will need to cut 1 vertebra of the alien, this is a ion feedneck milled to fit

its a lil tricky

I was going to make some feedneck fittings so the 2k7 feedneck will slide on it

the other mods:
fill what you can in the back cap or get hybrid and put some orings
short hose mod: but use the hi flow ones
the LPR tester will get rid of the side lpr and save some hot corners
I use only 2k2 led frames with a 2k5 board
purge holes on the lpr regs
2k6 front blocks
metric oring on the back oring on the ram
shock tech bolt with cupped face and orings
I cut 1 mm of the poppit shaft and polish it untill I see my ugly face on it
360 reg if you can get one if not the sideinder SS with long neck
short volley
use a oring bumper in front of the ram "ram tip oring"
polish the trigger pin

I see, I see.

Another question, why use a 2k6 front block? this is an empire/infamous frontblock right?

Hey guys, I've been scrolling through some pages of this forums since I just bought my first species timmy. Will receive it in a couple of days, and I will definately post pictures on here! I plan on dropping all 2K5 parts I can, building it really to my liking and best performance parts possible, maybe anno later?

@ JUIT
I've seen your video of that species shooting 295 @ 150/70 pressures...that's jsut amazing!! I jsut don't understand how that is even possible

Some of the mods on one of your last posts I don't understand though:

- fill what you can in the back cap or get hybrid and put some orings
(what does that do exactly, back cap of bolt or rammer?)

- purge holes on the lpr regs ?
(Other than for degassing puposes, any other advantage?)

- shock tech bolt with cupped face and orings
( Do you mod these bolt like the one in your vid?)

- I cut 1 mm of the poppit shaft and polish it untill I see my ugly face on it (LOL)
(I could see this increasing efficiency, but wouldn't that make for higher pressures needed? As far as my debuting timmy knowledge, if you have a longer poppet shaft, you get a longer mechanical dwell and can lower pressures, but reduced efficiency)

- use a oring bumper in front of the ram "ram tip oring"
- metric oring on the back oring on the ram
(I will try both of these to test performance differences/sound?)

Thanks in advance JUIT! Can't wait 'till the postman knocks on the door

that species had all the internals polished & I regret selling it till this day

the back mod is ti fill up the space behind the ramer and save air and do lower operating pressures also in some speciees I had lowered dwell

purge hole will make the timmy more stable on your FPS

the ST bolts I mod them worked great

yes you are right on the 1 mm but it will bump your efcy like a pod or sometimes 2 on the golden species that one had a LP poppit

on the bumper if you do it dont do the 1mm cut

anything U need let me know

also you can try urathane on the back of the ram that works also great, I use metric orings that I have from a mini invert
