all it is is a brand name... i had a spyder vs sereis that shot just as well as my nerve just w/o the bells and whistles that ill never use anyway...

i have an 05 timmy now and i personally like it just as much as my freinds etek and ego7...the only reason i buy new markers is because of the wow! factor... i mean when i see a gun that looks, feels, and shoots amazingly then that is what i get... not because it can shoot 100 bps because it can meow... i want a gun that can keep up with me in semi... shoot 15 bps ranping... and shoot straight!!!!

Actually no this makes no difference

I can afford a LUXE, do I buy one? NO.

Reason: My DM7 shoots just as good or better now that its been broken in than any other gun ive ever shot. A LUXE would not perform better gauranteed so why would I spend an extra $700 on a gun when I can just use that to go and actually play.

You have the wrong mind set about markers (IMO). Its not about price its about operation. An ION is a high end marker. It may only cost $150 but it is 100% electronic activation unlike a spyder which uses an electronic grip frame to trip a sear. There is class according to monitory ($) value but the sad fact is the $1650 or what ever the retail is on the luxe could be spent on a gun, tank and hopper that will shoot exactly the same. The only this is it wont speak to you. I don't like people so I wouldn't want a gun to speak to me anyway. Simply put: Player > Gun.

that all comes down to, bore to paint match. we all know that we can make any gun shoot straight with the right barrel kit. so that should have no barring on buying a new gun, unless it has threads that no one else makes and will never fit another barrel.
