co2 friendly regs??

i just bought a phantom here and it should be on its way. but im not all that big of a fan of playing with 12 grams, i think id rather play with a bottom line setup.

so i was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on some co2 friendly regs, i know palmers stabilizer is good but thats pricey. or should i just screw the reg and get a gas thru??

The best reg for CO2 is a palmers reg hands down. But phantoms dont really need regs (they actually run better unregged), so i would just save your money and not buy a reg.

Nah there are other regs that work fine on CO2. Many WGP regs, Sidewinder regs, Torpedo regs ... but you need to think about what output pressure you need. Not all regs can go up to "CO2 simulating" pressures (~800 psi).

I'd vote Palmer Stab, amazing regs. But as already mentioned phantoms don't really need regs. My broken in phantom is getting only 3-4 fps fluctuations. Once you break your phantom in there won't be any noticible difference, the only benefit i see is velocity adjustment via reg and not the TPC.

You'd be better off picking up a freak bored barrel or sending your stock out for boring. But again, if your looking for a reg for co2 you cant beat the Palmer, a bit pricey thought, pick up used to save some money, plus it will already be broken in.

technically any inline reg would work if you use an anti-siphon co2 tank...

Avant has a point.

An other thing to keep in mind for which ever reg you are looking at getting, IT HAS TO BE HIGH PRESSURE!!! For the most part phantoms run like crap on lower pressures. They run the best at 800-850psi/pressure of unregged co2.

stock WGP reg, even AKA recommended them before they made the sidewinder, and they also made an external adjuster for them as well

they are dirt cheep, and perform great with CO2, they were made before HPA was used commonly

You're right.
http://www.palmer-pursuit.com/cart/i...ducts_ id=296

A bit spendy, but it is a new valve chamber and reg in one. And it's compatible with the VSC hardline if you have it.

Right but that's because they serve a purpose on mags and generally don't cause a detriment. On phantoms though ... if you're not regulating it, you probably don't want to add expansion space.

heck no man that's a norcal/(I guess WA too) thing. it's kinda funny, everybody here in socal who went up north for college discovered "hella" was confused and irritated by it. Because it's not a word and doesn't make the slightest bit of sense.

Back on topic

actually I don't really have anything to contribute that hasn't already been said. Pretty much that PPS stuff is good but won't give a huge benefit.
