I tested the waters with this a year or so ago, but decided to stay put. This time around I intend to get rid of these 'guns. Here's the scoop:
Two Luxes. Both are beautiful 'guns. Both are (to the best of my knowledge) 1.0's. Yesterday during play the eggplant Luxe sprung a leak from somewhere in the grip panel. Up 'til that moment it was shooting darts and working flawlessly. PROBABLY an easy fix for someone who knows the 'guns and/or is around a qualified tech center, but my own experience with Luxe/GOG has been spotty and it's gonna take some time for shipping turnaround.
I do have a call into Luxe (CA) requesting to get this in to get taken care of pronto.
The eggplant Luxe has been my 10 year-old son's primary 'gun (he's a newbie), prior to which it was my daughter's 'gun...and the black Luxe is just gathering dust as a backup.
I am interested in trading both for a CSL. I have two CSLs already, one of which I use and the other is used by my daughter. I live less than five miles from an Eclipse master tech, and the whole family is going that direction so that just makes the most sense. So basically I am hoping to turn these into a CSL for my son. Yes I will be willing to add...how much depending on the CSL being offered.
Here they are:
(1) Gloss black with chrome parts Luxe #48. I am the original owner, and the 'gun is pretty much stock and shoots beautifully. Back from GOG in July '11 for total tune-up and has seen one day of play since. Comes with 68/45 tank attached to 'gun (some of the originals were this way), but the tank needs to be hydro'd (date 4/7). In great shape (I baby my equipment), nothing beyond "normal wear and tear". It has been a great 'gun, and a ridiculously low serial number!
(2) Gloss eggplant with gloss black parts Luxe #233. One owner before me; has what I THINK is a violent trigger and shot beautifully up 'til yesterday. Again, gas leak from somewhere in the grip. Back from GOG in July '11 for tune-up and has seen probably about three or four cases since that time. ASA with mini-drop (factory). In great cosmetic shape, nothing beyond "normal wear and tear."
Both come with a Luxe hard carrying case and [I think] all the stock stuff that comes along with 'em.
ONLY interested in trading. No I will not ship first (I am easy enough to research, have solid feedback old as well as new, etc.) unless you are equally as low risk (I will be the judge of that).
Please understand it makes more sense for me to just try and get rid of them rather than go through the rigamarore of getting them tuned up and tested prior to getting rid of them. But if you know these 'guns well and/or are around a tech center and think you can get 'em in to tune this may be an opportunity to snag a nice two-for-one. I'd rather do that than shell out for a new CSL AND go through everything to tune these things up just to get rid of them. Hope that makes sense.
