I believe I've seen the yellow light on a low battery condition too, which also explains the shoot down after rapid firing. Last fall I worked on a tacdrone with an internal short that ate batteries and had similar symptoms. This one had been modified with a wire harness instead of the posts for the battery connection, so I attributed it to that. New board and it works great. That would be a last resort on a new marker though. If you have indeed installed a new and fresh duracell or equal 9volt (no rechargeables) and the problem persists, it really should be looked at.

flashing yellow is eye failure. It is reading something in the breach consistantly even after firing. Usually because the eyes are dirty.

I have cleaned the eyes two different times with the same problems. I sent MacDev and e-mail yesterday and I am waiting on MacDev to contact me about sending it in. I am leaning towards something wrong with the board. I had a similar problem with my Ion once eating batteries and found out it was a board short do to changing the grip frames. Although everything is stock on the Drone, maybe I got a bad board.

I have a question did you recieve your drone completely new like straight from macdev or are you seconded owner. I have seen a problem like this before but in a dm10 seconded owner couldnt shoot a stream without getting drop off. And had recieved a faulty manufactor board from dye after deciding hey wasnt a fan of ape boards. turns out the main issue was hes reg. But i would try a pressure test might help you eliminate some possible reasons for the drop off issues your having.

I would send it in for sure, something is up, its unfortunate but it sounds like MacDev may have sent you a lemon. It has got to be something faulty with the board or solenoid.

You said you've checked the Orings, re-lubed the reg and drivetrain, installed a fresh battery, and made sure your air supply is good? What else could it be at this point? I hope it has to do with an electronics issue and not a machining quality issue.

Keep us posted on how well MacDev takes care of you.
