No, lets talk about this. I know ProCaps merged with ZAP/Archon and ProCaps aquired TACAMO some time in '08.
Does ProCaps own RAP4 and not list it on their site? I can't find news about ProCaps selling TACAMO to RAP4. I do know ProCaps owns Tippmann Sports, Planet Eclipse, NXE, and Tiberius Arms.

It doesn't, not unless they make some fairly big changes to it and the receiver to allow the odd shape of the first strike rounds to feed properly.

RAP4 now owns Tacamo.
ProCaps does not own Tippmann, NXe or Tiberius. They buy from them and distribute their products.

Misread the press release from '08.
When did RAP4 buy TACAMO from ProCaps? I can't find any press releases, or anything for that matter, about it.

Pretty easy to figure out once you look at the milsig magazines, which are built exactly the same as the rap4 magazines.

Lowering your profile isn't why you would do it. Military simulation.

Heck it's hardly even about military simulation. It's basically about limited paint paintball for the guys I play with - the milsim factor was a nice bonus but far from the point. Paintball can never really be that milsim anyway. Limited paint really changes the game up just like pump - you can move more, you have to choose shots wisely, and you can catch people off guard while they're reloading as shooting while reloading isn't an option. Don't get me wrong I luff my speedball, but magfed is great for a change just like pump.
Meanwhiles Tiberius need to hurry up and make a pump action FS round marker.

It should when I ordered my kit I asked about extra mags and they said t68 mags is what it takes. And the fittings look the same grime the pics I have seen.

Probably won't be too much of an issue if it's just the kit you're having shipped across.

Can't dicide
I have an A-5 with a drop forward and flatline barrel. My biggest problem is I'm a lefty. The cylcone system and hopper are always in my face. I tryied using a tac-cap but the cyclone is still in the way. The mag feed system would fix my problem. But I can't dicide if I should buy the kit or sell my A-5 and buy a T68. Any input would be helpful. Thanks

Procaps shut down Tacamo a little over a year ago, I've followed it because Doug Brown of PsiWorx (makers of the proconnect 3) used to be the guy in charge of Tacamo and is a regular poster on the Milsim Empire boards. Somewhere in between Rap4 picked it up, there was never really a whole lot of info on it, just one day Rap started sending out emails that they were now carrying Tacamo product. Which, even though I'm not RAP's biggest fan, is a good thing because the Tacamo mods were some of the best milsim mods you could buy.

if you want to stick with the tippmann internals, buy the kit. the t68 is not a bad way to go too. i have 2 current gen6 markers and is awesome. i've seen a few people here bashing on rap4 already. who cares what they say. bash talk all they want, but when they get beat by a t68, they should shut their mouths. if you have questions about the t68, just pm me.

rap4s have a reputation for being crap quality - but what I hear is that the Gen6 has upped their game enough that the reputation is probably incorrect now.
Personally if I already had an A5 I'd go with the kit - the internals on a T68 aren't really a big enough improvement to justify the extra cost.

I'm not so much worried about the internals as I am the overall durability of the marker. The A-5 can take one heck of a beating. I've seen them survive mud, rain, sand, and snow. Do you think the Gen6 is up to that challenge?

Put it this way: unless the gen6 is *significantly* better than an A5 with a kit (which it's not, functionally. Equivalent probably) then why would you spend that much extra money?

how would the t68 compare in accuracy to a flatline barrel?
