.....I wouldn't mind colleges have a $400/mo stipend for athletes, as part of their scholarship. The military ROTC programs do this, and it prevents people from doing stupid **** for money.

I'm not saying they should have open bidding on all the players. I'm just saying if it comes out that someone gave a player money, I'm not going to pretend to be outraged over it. I know kids that drove to school in Bentleys, SLS benzes, had multiple $50k+ cars, black cars, living in the Ritz Carlton, etc. What difference does it make if some athlete got $20K? I'm glad they did. They provide a lot of entertainment to a lot of people, and often times bring in millions for the universities. Some of these kids are dirt poor. I'm not going to pretend to be outraged that they took money. I'd take it too, and I'm sure most people in the thread would.
